This place was so cool! We had a family vacation planned in the area, and unfortunately something happened with the dates and Dutch Wonderland wasn't open the first day we planned to explore and roam around, so we needed something fun to do with the kiddo, and the maze and the mini golf sounded fun.
The attendant was so helpful and nice, we really appreciate him! Nice young gentleman with a good sense of humor. I feel like when someone tries to connect with you, have a little chat, and be a part of your experience, it really makes everything so much more fun and enjoyable, so kudos to him. Unfortunately I forget his name but the dark haired young guy who reads books. I like him.
Golf was really fun, we all enjoyed the story that went along with it on the signs. The maze was our favorite part I think, and I love mazes with stampers and a timer, it really adds to the fun, I thought it was going to be just a plain old maze before we came. Complete with two lookout areas.
Oh, back to the golf, lots of themed elements, very well designed and the entire area is clean. I definitely recommend stopping here! If you have the time, you'll want to do both of the golf courses. We unfortunately did not have time for one course but they both have some really cool areas and neat layouts. Will definitely come back if we're...
Read moreNice course, horrible experience.
Our experience was ruined by several families (all of whom where not playing) using the golf course as their personal playground. When I say not playing I mean they didn't even have balls or clubs, meanwhile we paid for the experience.
A few holes in there was a family of 3-4 coming out of the cage. None of them where playing, and when I say that I mean they didn't even have clubs or balls. I hit my ball, which landed close to the hole. Then the father proceeds to walk over and kick my ball. Then turns around and tries to pull his stroller up the stairs to the cave. I was speechless.
Later on when we were in the pirate ship, there was a family of 4 (again none of them playing) that started to walk on to the hole as we were playing. My wife asked the mom if they were playing and she said no. My wife had to ask the mother if she could please have her kids wait out of the way.
Then we watched as the kids of both families were just running around the course. One family was still on the course when we finished.
We liked the course, but the experience was horrible.
Not sure if the employee wasn't paying attention or simply didn't care. Considering how long this went on for, I'm guessing he didn't care. I have never experienced anything like this at a miniature golf...
Read moreA wonderful mini golf course with two courses to choose from. The setting is interesting and quite vertical, and the grounds are mostly pretty clean (I spotted some half-finished drink bottles tucked in a couple bushes, likely tossed there by sneaky kids.) The workers are friendly and personable and the ice cream options, although packaged, are varied and delicious. The prices are fair and the putt holes are enjoyable despite the challenge you often don’t find at other courses. The maze is difficult enough to stay interesting but simple enough that you don’t get entirely lost. The wildlife (mostly ducks and small birds) aren’t afraid of people, so you have the opportunity to see them up-close (just don’t touch them!) The biggest negative I noticed was on a hole where my ball bounced out, went over the edge of the area, and I had to run down stairs and through several holes to retrieve it. This can be remedied by the net alongside that hole (after the Diamond cave) being extended all the way...
