I pulled up to the drive thru window at 5:30PM. I waited at the speaker/microphone until someone came across the speaker at 5:32PM and stated "hold on". I placed my order off of the Long John Silver's menu at 5:35PM (as noted on my receipt). My order was for a Family Pack to include 4 pcs of fish, 4 pcs of chicken, 8 hushpuppies, and my two sides of (French fries and coleslaw). I made it to the drive through window around 5:48PM (only two other vehicles in front of me from the time I had arrived). The drive thru attendant took my card for payment and handed it back a minute later. Meanwhile, looking into the kitchen, back of house area, there are team members leisurely walking around and others pacing back and forth. One individual was eating a bag of chips while sitting on the main counter (typically used as the counter between the dining area/lobby and kitchen, the lobby was closed). At 5:50PM, I was asked by the same attendant who took my payment, "did you order a Coke". I stated no and that I had only ordered the Family Pack meal. She didn't say anything further and simply closed the window. At 5:52PM another attendant came to the window and asked me what I had ordered. I stated that I had ordered the Family Pack meal and reiterated what was to be included. She stated, "is that what you paid for?" I said, "yes", and waved my receipt for verification. They closed the window once more. By 5:54PM I was frustrated and waved my hand to get the attention of the attendant inside. I stated that I had been waiting for nearly 20 minutes for my food and was not willing to wait any longer and that I wanted a refund. The attendant stated that they were not able to provide a refund as they were not the manager. I asked to speak to the manager or supervisor. At that time, I was informed that there was no manager or supervisor working and that a thumbprint of the manager is required to give a refund. I asked for the name of the manager and was told her name is Jazmin. Looking at my receipt, it states the cashier who took my order was Jazmin (not sure why the manager, Jazmin, is listed as the cashier when she is not actually working). After being denied my refund, they brought me a bag of food at 5:56PM. I took the food I had been given and pulled ahead. Unfortunately, I did not confirm my order was correct (rookie mistake) as I simply wanted to get out of there. Upon getting home (4 minute drive), I opened the bag and realized I was missing my hushpuppies and French fries. One of my four pieces of chicken was only 2-1/2" in length. Not sure what the quality control on this is but I would have been frustrated had I ordered a stand-alone or added piece of chicken for $2 and received this. I had assumed the reason for the 20+ minute delay in getting me my order was because they were making fresh food. To my surprise, both the chicken and the fish looked and tasted as if it had been sitting there all day (shriveled up, dried out, and cold). This is a very poorly run operation and was a waste of 20+ minutes of my time and $25+ as the majority of the food was discarded. I will not be returning to this location and I would hope someone from the corporate level would look into this location as it is a very poor reflection on...
Read moreI am actually writing this review for my mother in-law and myself (Karen), that is how disgusted we are. Last year this would have been one of the cleanest, friendliest places around to eat, I am not sure what happened.... Today, 4/13/18, I was receipt #3838, it started that my order was wrung up incorrectly, Than when I asked about the additional charge the cashier was being nasty and said it was because i ordered extra crispy. So I just move:down and let the next person go, well the cashier seemed to be nasty to her also...... thought well maybe she is having a bad Friday the 13th.
It,s not over, I ordered two chicken breast, what I received was a leg and a thigh, so I go up front to Ms nasty and she takes the food and throws it away. She does give the cords things but instead of throwing good food away should have asked if I wanted it since it could not be resold or if I wanted to purchase it at a discount price. I. Am not one that believes in throwing good food away, I understand policy, but being that it was her fault, I think a option should have been available. And last complaint, while we were eating a women came in with a small dog. This did not to appear to be a service dog and there were no marking stating that she was, the customer even carried her to place her order and brought her food back to the table and ate with the dog at the table, I told my mom that if the board of health came in, they would close this place...
Read moreThis is a KFC/Long John Silvers combination, which means you can mix and match if you want. For example, I prefer traditional french fries with my fried chicken. Parking is easy, but once you are inside you're faced with a rather dreary place that isn't as clean as it should be. The food is adequate, and served by people who seem like they would rather be somewhere else.
Update 07/01/2017
Visited today, and it was beyond disgusting. The temperature was 82° inside and very humid. The bathrooms were filthy. The floors around the eating area were sticky and covered with bits of food. The floors in the food preparation area were also dirty, with old fries and bits of chicken laying around.
I watched my food being prepared, and it was nauseating. The server had only one hand gloved, and she used that same gloved hand to pick up tongs that had dropped from the floor, before then handling my fries. The food was cold. One of my "Chicken Little" sandwiches had pickles, but the other did not. The soda machine dispensed carbonated water instead of Pepsi. There were no lids for the standard soda cups. The tables were sticky. There were bags of trash laying outside the main entrance.
Despite it being in a premium location, avoid this disgusting place...
