Good and bad: Purple perks are great! Plants are always great quality. Prices are higher but you usually get great customer service and exceptional help here. HOWEVER, I just had a weird experience. Yesterday I left a small wire easel trellis in the bottom of my cart. So I called and asked if anyone had turned it in or if I could get a new one (being a purple perks member, I was certain they’d look at the hundreds of dollars we’ve spent as loyal customers and decide I wasn’t trying to cheat them out of a $7.99 item.) The employee told me they’d call me if they found it so I asked if they had another option in case someone else swiped it. She transferred me to a manager who spoke with me like I was belligerent! I was so friendly and just asking questions and she was speaking so rapidly and condescendingly, it was bizarre. I know customers can be rude but I wasn’t! Eventually she said she can’t refund me an expensive trellis item, and I said can you look at my account again because it wasn’t expensive. Then she came back and said she’d refund it or set aside a new one. Good grief! They treated me like I was a horrible person before she even looked at what I was talking about! They have my entire purchase history at their disposal and she didn’t check. I have had such great experiences so far, just this one is off. Not the friendliest, very defensive, and abrasive....
Read moreWent in to order flowers for a funeral. The gal who helped us was fantastic - offered ideas, colors, etc. Was patient and helpful. We finalized the process - the arrangement would be ready Friday for an early Saturday funeral. We were not thrilled to have to pick them up, but that was ok. Friday afternoon I stopped to pick up the arrangement and things were quite a bit different. The gal I spoke to went to the back to grab the flowers - she came back with a black bucket containing two small bunches of iris's. I said that's not what we ordered - rather than going to in the back and looking again she said she had no clue and didn't have anything more for us. I was in panic. I paid $140 for an arrangement and there was nothing!!!! I didn't have time to wait for one to be done (I'd already paid) and the funeral was scheduled to start an hour before you opened. I could not get my phone to pull up my email for the confirmation - she stood and hovered rather than checking "in the back" for the order. Finally someone was able to find the order in the system - the gal went to the back and returned in less than a minute with the order.
Your employee's should be doing a better job of knowing which order are being picked up and where pick-up's are located. Though the gal apologized, she seemed quite smug about it. I'm...
Read moreI've been a long-time customer of Bachman's, having frequented the Lyndale location for years to get flowers for my mom when I was younger. Over time, I've seen Bachman's evolve and grow, even adding a charming little French café at the Lyndale site.
Now living in Excelsior, I occasionally find myself at the Eden Prairie location, and my most recent visit was nothing short of delightful. I had the pleasure of meeting Sue Bee, who crafted a stunning bouquet for my daughter Benedetta. Sue Bee was incredibly friendly and shared a fun story about her nickname—apparently, there were so many Susans when she was born that "Sue Bee" stuck as her lifelong nickname. Another Susan at the shop had even changed her name to Diane for the same reason, which gave us a good laugh!
The staff at Bachman's have always been warm and welcoming, making every visit a pleasure. Whether it's for a special occasion or just to brighten someone's day, Bachman's is my go-to for beautiful, fresh flowers. Thank you, Sue Bee, and the team at Bachman's for your wonderful service!
A lifelong & happy...
