Family-friendly sports-bar chain with an large menu of handmade craft burgers, appetizers, ribs, soups, salads, wraps, entrees, desserts and a lot more. Full bar offers craft beer and craft cocktail selections. Open floor concept with multi tiered levels offer padded bar stools, padded chairs/tables and booths. Plenty of big screen TV's for sports watching, pull tabs on-site and an open view concept for even the kitchen. Also available, a large wraparound patio built into the landscaped hillside. Our selection this afternoon was the new Classic Club Sandwich with deli fresh sliced turkey, ham, applewood bacon, provolone and cheddar cheese, fresh lettuce and tomato and garlic aioli on my ever favorite toasted sourdough bread. Good quality, quantity (note: pic shows only 1/2 serving, as we shared) and presentation. My side was a generous heaping of waffle fries, which seemed to be bit over cooked, but still enjoyable. Service was friendly and efficient. Prices are a bit higher but still doable, especially as my wife and I often share a meal.

Have had great experiences at Champps in the past, but this latest trip was not a great one. Like most restaraunts right now, they seemed to be short-staffed as far as servers go. It also appears that rather than having sections for servers, their tables are spread about the dining area so it was difficult to get our server's attention - especially after several tables around us had been seated after we ordered and received their food before us. When the food finally came, it was it appeared to have been sitting for a bit before delivery to our table. It was not hot as expected. Our server and a manger handled the situation terribly from the delay to the temperature of our prepared meals. Never had an experience like this at Champps before. Other restaraunts have reduced capacity based on the available staff in order to provide better service. Champps didn't appear to find this necessary. Will I go back? Most likely based on past experience, but will wait a while to allow for an increase in staff as more people go back to work.

$13(?) Bleu Ribbon Burger-applewood bacon, bleu cheese crumbles, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes & red onions—moist, medium well & flavorful. The bleu cheese adds something special to this burger for sure. However, I wouldn’t go out of my way to get back to Champps. Our server was super clingy, granted we were her only table at the time. It was maybe every five minutes & she’d show up asking if we needed anything, which in all other circumstances I’d say is good customer service, but twas a little clingy, three stars for service, ambiance & the burger. Aside from the ok burger, the bartender greeted us at the door with hand sanitizer & ironically wasn’t even wearing his mask. He spent our whole time there walking around incorrectly wearing his mask. The shelf behind our table was very dusty (I noticed the whole place was kinda dusty).

Last night, I went to the Champ’s in Eden Prairie, MN. This was my first ever visit to a Champ’s and my fiancé and I had chosen to try out Champ’s because they were having live music play out on their patio. We arrived a little after 8:30pm and we were seated on the patio in a quick manner and the band started playing after their break shortly after. Our first waitress came over in a timely fashion and took our drink order. After a quick wait, she brought out the correct drinks to us and then left without taking our order. Our experience quickly went downhill from there. After an extended wait, a new waiter finally came over to help us. We placed our food order with him and in addition to our original pops, my fiancé ordered an alcoholic beverage. I ordered the sirloin with a side salad and waffle fries and my fiancé ordered the chicken and shrimp fajita with sweet potato waffle fries. Again, after a wait, my salad was brought out by a new waitress, possibly just a food runner, but then she quickly left. We had not been given any silverware so I had to wait another five plus minutes before a server brought out my fiancés beverage so that I could ask for some. When our food arrived, again with a totally new waiter brining our food out to us, he asked us if we needed anything else. I asked for some ketchup to go with our fries and he said he would bring some right out. After a few minutes, our original waiter who took our food order checked in with us to make sure everything was going okay. I did not ask for ketchup again as I thought it was being taken care of but we did ask for drink refills since my beverage had not been refilled yet after being empty for quite some time. Our drink refills were eventually brought out, but the ketchup never came. We did not see another waiter or waitress again until long after we had finished our meals. Our waiter who we had ordered our food with checked in with us and my fiancé asked for a box for our leftovers. Again, after a long wait, the waiter brought out a box, however first he brought it to the wrong table. My fiancé already had his card ready to go and handed it to the waiter right then so that we would not have to undergo another long wait for him to go and get out bill and then take our card. He ran the card and brought us our receipt and then left. We boxed our leftovers, finished paying, and then got up to leave. We ran into him as we were leaving and he did tell us to have a good evening. We were going to stop at the front greeter by the door and ask to speak with a manager right there, however there was no one at the door station. The band that was playing was nice and the food was very good, however, I have never had such bad service. A normal dinner takes us 30-45 minutes or so from start to finish. We were there over an hour and a half with how much waiting we had to do. While I liked the food, I’m not sure if I’d be willing to return to a Champ’s after...

Tonight, my friend and my wife visited Champps in Eden prairie. It would have been a nice experience, however our waitress, Rose made it an exceptional experience.

For someone much younger than myself, I am used to a bit less in the customer service area. Rose on the other hand greatly exceeded all of our expectations. She was so good at our job that as soon as we were finishing a water or beer, she was setting the next one we had asked for down on to the table. The food came very quickly. (Thank you to all of you who were involved)

Rose had such a fun personality that I finally had to ask her name because I knew this was one of those times I needed to write a positive review. I hope in some way it conveys what a pleasure it was to have someone so good at their job serving us.

Rose, thank you. You are an asset to the Champps team. I hope your schooling next year is as fantastic as our service was tonight. Your work ethic is greatly appreciated by those of us that remember when the customer came first.

Management, thank you for Rose. She is young, but also incredible at her job She is a model of exactly what I would be looking for if I ran Champps. People who make the company look so good.

Thanks also to the other staff behind the scenes that were providing her with the drinks and food so quickly that helped her look so good. You did a fantastic job. Everything was...

Nobody took our drink order for 15 minutes the drinks came out and it was like whatever it’s Friday the waitress left and came back 15 minutes later to get our food in 40 min later our food came back bone cold. First they gave us our stale old appetizer to which the waitress said “oh you just got those” 10 minutes later my burger came out cold my fries where piping hot I worked at a restaurant and know the trick, if the food sits forever just throw out the old fries and put on new ones so they think the meal is fresh. It’s a waiter trick used when they were too busy in the cooler hitting the blinker or smoking cigarettes to give out the finished food. It was clearly done at the same time. Came back 30 minutes later with a box and I pulled out my card, she ran off. Came back 30 minutes later with the pay thing, the last 30 minutes I had been staring at my bone cold burger I took two bites out of. The pay thing she set on the table and stared at my brother who opted out of tipping, she loudly said ouch then stared me down to pressure me into tipping. I didn’t yield and tipped $0.48 and left without making eye contact. It was the single most awkward dinning experience of my life, and we were either ignored or forgotten about after each interaction to the point we spent 80 bucks on food to cold to eat. My first experience at champs was great, I know it was Friday...
