Came here on a Saturday, around 3PM and they were pretty busy. The mall is pretty small, and it is mainly restaurants.
The line for this restaurant was very confusing because you've got people waiting in line outside of this restaurant for boba tea, and for dessert. I think if this restaurant could invest in a signage that mentions where people can wait to be seated inside, by the entrance it would be very helpful...
I wouldn't recommended these restaurants in Asia Mall if you come in a big group, just because it's pretty crowded, not a lot of seats and more than likely you will not be seated with your party.
Service was ok. My sister ordered chicken wings, pho and the Com Dac Biet, but the Com Dac Biet meal never came. My sister did not realize that they charged her for it ($17), even though they never even brought the food which was very disappointing.
They charge a 18% gratuity, I assume because we came as a family, even though we couldn't even sit together. I couldn't even hear our server say that they charge a 18% gratuity because it was pretty loud in the restaurant, and he was very quiet, therefore I ended up tipping extra $$ on top of the 18% gratuity..
The chicken wings were ok. Taste like your basic asian chicken wings. Pricey for the taste.
Wonton Cream Cheese was good size. It was ok.
The Pho House Special was meh. If you're a big broth person, you may be disappointed. Broth tasted watered down.
The Stir Fry Combo with Crispy noodles was basically with Lo Mein noodles. For some reason they only serve it with a small amount of noodles. This dish doesn't come with rice. Tastes like your basic Chinese stir fry dish.
Their eggrolls are huge, and was tasty. It was crunchy on the outside but well done inside.
Overall, I probably wouldn't come here again. If I do, it would probably be for the eggrolls and cream...
Read moreMy family and I went on Sunday late lunch, so it was busy or crazy when we walked in. Sat down quickly and brought out our waters. Sadly, their drink menu is limited and we couldn't order any boba drinks since their line for boba drinks is long. (must get in line to get a special drink) Amazedly, the food was great my party ordered the rice platter, pho, spring rolls, chicken wings and fried rice. My reasons for the 3 stars, half way through our meal, no one refilled our water cups and we were dying of thirst. Had to grab our waitress's attention and after our request they brought out a small pitcher of water that didn't get fill up the rest of my parties water cup. Had to grab my waitress's 2nd attention to request for my check, upon her arrival, she had read out loud my food order instead of a paper check. Maybe this must be a new thing, please note, I prefer to see an itemized list of all my ordered food vs being read out. Since, I had a party of 8 with me that day how do I know what everyone had. I just paid with my card and asked for my copy of my receipt. Heck, I couldn't wait any longer and left without an receipt either. Would I recommend to family and friends? Yes and no, food is good but service is bare minimum. Oh, please note they add gratitude of party of 5 or more. So, regardless how good or bad the service is please note. Enjoy!
Update to owner's response: Thank you, you may keep the tip charge from my last experience. As you are quick to response my comment as you are quick to serve out your customers. I really appreciate it that. I would like to note and give our viewers a heads up with bigger parties. I normally tip generously, but understand most Vietnamese restaurant automatically charge service upfront of parties of 5 and more. I just would like to see less hostile and more family...

When I crave authentic Vietnamese food, my memories always drift back to Garden Grove, California. That area is packed with amazing Vietnamese restaurants and shopping malls filled with food courts where you can try just about everything.
Here in Minnesota, I found a little reminder of that when the Eden Prairie Mall opened. It gave me the same kind of vibe—lots of shops, food, and energy—and quickly became one of my favorite shopping spots.
And tucked right in the mall is one of my favorite finds: Pho Mai. If the name sounds familiar, that’s because it was opened by the son of the owner of MT Noodles in Brooklyn Park. While the menu at Pho Mai is a bit more streamlined, they kept all the essentials—pho, banh mi, and their famous egg rolls.
Now, let me tell you about those egg rolls. They aren’t the typical kind wrapped in pre-made skins. Instead, they’re made with fresh rice paper, which makes them perfectly crisp and totally worth the extra effort it takes to prepare them. They’re seriously labor-intensive, but you can taste the difference.
On my last visit, I went for a bowl of beef and meatball pho—comforting, flavorful, and exactly what I needed. Of course, I couldn’t resist the pork egg rolls too, which were just as tasty as I remembered.
Pho Mai isn’t your typical deli-style pho shop either. It’s always buzzing with energy, full of people, and has this lively, modern vibe. Whether you’re in the middle of a shopping trip or making the drive just for a good meal, it’s worth stopping in.
If you’re in the Twin Cities and craving authentic Vietnamese flavors, Pho Mai is definitely a...
