Citizens' Park — Attraction in Edgewater

My hidden little go-to for when the bigger parks are crowded. This playground has just enough to keep my toddler entertained and to burn off some energy. Love the 3-in-1 COLOSSUS slide. It is fast! But they've made it work by placing a rubber mat at the bottom so you don't lose traction when you fly off the end. Fun pavilion with lots of tables. Tons of shade here! We come here lots in the summer. Someone drew male genitalia all over the place and the parks dept got it cleaned up within a couple days. Great...

I stopped in to see the HomeTown festival. I was amazed at the number of tents that were there, each sponsored by a different Edgewater business or organization. Lots of hometown pride here. It was all very well organized and there seem to be a lot of attendees including children having fun. I purchased the new Edgewater history book which I look forward to enjoying.
