I have been going to Barbara for a long time, off and on again for about twenty years. I know she is extremely busy and does all the work herself, I will wait as long as need be for her to do my framing and mat design. She has a wonderful gift and I value her work. I recently brought her a treasured piece of an original chalk drawing that appeared to have a stain in the mat which was last done in the 1970's. Barbara sent me to a paper alchemist, a great referral to a wonderful young lady. They were able to spray and stop further damage before proceeding with the new mat. Barbara is an artist and treats the process of framing as an art in itself. Even after we had picked out some frame and matte combinations, she called later to say she wasn't happy with our original plan for one of the two paintings I brought in.
