Il Viale — Restaurant in Edmonds

Finally was able to check out Il Viale. Love their other business and was excited to try it out. It was moderately busy with 2 people behind us. The menu was hard to read located on a small clipboard at the corner of the counter. It was loud and hard to hear the counter staff. Note: no laptops allowed if seating inside but allowed outside, however, your screen will be heard to read.

At 9:30 am, there were no pastries left except biscotti. We ordered a chai, 16 oz latte with caramel and extra shot, and 2 biscotti. Our drinks arrived lukewarm which we finished in less than 5 minutes. The drinks were very good despite the temperature. The anise and walnut biscotti lacked flavor. When our table was cleared by the barrista, we mentioned our drink temperatures and she indicated that was the appropriate drink temperature. She suggested requesting extra hot beverage next time.

While Il Viale serves good coffee, what truly sets this gem apart is its absolutely amazing ambience that invites you to sit, relax, and really connect over conversation. The interior and decor are stunning - thoughtfully designed spaces that are both elegant and comfortable, creating an atmosphere that naturally encourages great discussions without feeling rushed. I always look forward to conversations here; it's become my go-to spot when I want to really talk with someone, whether catching up with an old friend or having a heart-to-heart with family. If you are looking for a cozy, high end feel coffee shop, please stop by Il Viale! Their fall “shakerato” made with orange bitters and vanilla is sooo good! Very unique thing you can’t find elsewhere.

The staff here, especially Jordan and Stas are sooo kind and take genuine interest in customer’s lives. Very warm spot.

While this certainly isn’t a place that you’d come and do remote work due to the smaller space and lack of wifi (at the time of writing this), you can certainly come and read and book while you enjoy phenomenal camber coffee! Great outdoor space as well.
