Off Main — Restaurant in Edmonds

UPDATE: WOW. I am shocked by the tone of the owner's response and lack of apology that his staff got it wrong. They clearly did not check with the waitress who served us to see what we were told. I was not confused about where we were. We sat outside, pulling tables together so some people were in the shade and some in the sun. A party of about 10 women. I asked for the Happy Hour menu when the waitress placed regular menus on the table. She clearly said it has been discontinued and we expressed our disappointment. CHECK WITH YOUR WAITRESS WHO WORKED THURSDAY LAST WEEK. I can provide nine witnesses if you don't believe me. (I removed the stars I previously gave them due to the response that blames the customer for the "false information" instead of looking at their own staff). Arrived at 3 last Thursday to find out they have discontinued weekday happy hour. Theirs was one of the best and now it is completely gone. It would have been nice if they had announced this change on social media as we had a large group that was specifically going out for a "happy hour."...

Had great experiences and poor experiences here.

Pros-- Clean, welcoming setting. Awesome patio. Great cocktails Really good food--love the steak frites

Cons-- The last couple times it's been tough to get service. Most recently, 3 people looked right at me in a 2/3-empty dining room, and didn't say a word. One guy said "excuse me" a couple times while he visited tables, without otherwise acknowledging me.

Every other place in town had a line that night. We thought we were super lucky to find this place with plenty of tables. The hostess argued with us for a solid 3 minutes, patronizingly explaining how restaurants work, saying how she couldn't possibly seat us for at least 10 more minutes. When there were 15+ empty tables inside and out.

We're going to try again 'cause the first couple visits were amazing. They might have lost the FOH staff that made those visits so...

We went after the lunch rush on the weekend, and even though there was very little staff FOH we were served our drinks and food quickly. Both cocktails were very good, then we got our nachos (with beef) and were very surprised with how big it was. This is an appetizer for +5 people! There’s more food in this nacho plate than the entrees! It’s a mountain of deliciousness, but if we knew just how much food we were going to get we wouldn’t have bothered with ordering the entrees. I got the fish and chips and didn’t enjoy the fish very much. It sat on a bed of greens and got very wet (IE not at all crunchy) on the bottom which made for an uncomfortable texture and mouthfeel. Fries and tartar sauce were good. Husband got a burger he enjoyed. We’d come back; ambience, staff, and drinks...
