Say you like to write. You fire up your computer every morning and stare at the screen until a few poorly chosen words make their way into your masterpiece. Lunchtime rolls around, so you put your computer away and make a sandwich. You do this everyday until you can’t take the monotony any more. The answer? Pack up your computer and head for a place where you might get some inspiration. There are a number of places in Edmonds to choose from. That is a good thing, because if you don’t get out early enough, people will have taken all the comfy spots near an outlet. Cafe Louvre gets an eclectic group of retirees, aspiring writers and small groups of friends sharing the same old story about that time they got called for jury duty. If you do get there early, grab the chair in the corner by the front window. The wifi works well, there is a nearby outlet, a comfy chair and a good view of the room so you can draw inspiration from the characters who come in. Writing prompt - A man comes into a coffee shop everyday to eat a scone, drink a coffee and read the paper. One morning he doesn’t show up. What happened? I’m not much of a coffee snob, so when I say that the lattes are good, you can take that for what it is worth. Make sure to tell them that the coffee is to drink in. They will give you a nice ceramic mug that is far superior to the waxy paper cups you get to go. I also have not tried too many of the pastries here. They look great and the blueberry scone I had one time was yummy. Like many places in Edmonds, Cafe Louvre can get filled up, especially in the summer. The good news is that they seem to have a dibs system that lets you keep your seat for as many hours as you like. I’ve spent most of a day there and not noticed much turnover or any pressure from the staff to move people along. Not bad for the...

Bought a chai may 10 at 11:45 with my ADA Service Dog. Two employees one young rude female and a male. Employees harassed me over my SERVICE dog.

Read the Government ADA laws and learn what you can legally do and say

Heres some education: you can ask two questions and then you mind your own business.

The rude girl started the harassment but couldn’t finish the conversation she started because her emotions got in the way of my facts and laws.

I understand more than anyone or any business the effects of fake service dogs people claiming their dogs falsely to be so - by LAW the distinction is in their behavior. Can you imagine how often I run into people not knowing this? Every. Day.

If you are a business your duty is to learn what the laws are or you get sued.

The rude girl tried to ask me for fake logistics like a license or a vest. These things are fake anyone can create them they are not real and only made for your emotions to feel better.

As someone with a real service dog who provides me real medical alert services I am not going to be harassed over your personal opinions or emotions and my very real needs.

This cafe was one of my favorites but it looks like snotty 16 year old girls are running it who find validation in physical attributes instead of legal knowledge. I hope you rehire better staff that leave the attitude and...

The atmosphere her is the best. My parents have been coming here for years since retiring. My Dad passed away over 5 years ago so my Mom and I have gone here twice in the last few weeks. Brought back memories of good times. Out only issue is that the customers who bring their computers and usually sit alone take all the best seats in the house and it includes the window seats. The choices left are small round tables for one person that two or more people are now forced to use. Sunday, a younger gal had two of the large comfy chairs and table for herself and her computer. I was with my 89 year old Mom. The young girl was there when we arrived and when we left. It brings the question, who are you serving in your community? People who monopolize a table and chairs and a view for hours, a customers who want to enjoy what you Cafe offers and talk to each other while we are there. We could find a new cage also! There needs to be a place for people who want to put their head down and work but not at the expense of every awesome seat in your cage. Just doesn't seem right that most elderly people can't get a good option because of...

Nice place to stop for coffee and a bite to eat - nice menu of breakfast and lunch options. Food is fresh and fast (and they have a lot of menu options including vegetarian), but they'd benefit from hiring someone with cooking expertise. (for example, our BLT had not-crispy bacon, and barely sufficient L and T, missing mayonnaise altogether) No soup today, unfortunately. Quite excellent service--they were friendly and responsive-- they brought out our food and a treat for the dog. No waiting! Love the spaciousness here - great for anyone using a wheelchair, rollator, or other assistive device. We sat outside on the patio - lots of room, shady, comfortable options for seating. Staff brought out our drink. Maybe our new favorite hangout in downtown Edmonds.

WiFi: super fast 199 mbs down 145 upload; Printer: No; Seats: 30 inside w/couch + fireplace, outdoor too; Outlets: 0.25 outlets per seat, along walls; Lighting: Cozy, Natural Sunlight; Noise: music, loud buzz of taking at busy times; Vanilla Latte Price: $4.05 for smallest Order pressure: none, super nice. This coffee shop has a cozy fireplace and is in a cute and walkable part of town. Superb wifi and clean bathrooms. Staff were extra friendly and the place had a Christmas tree for the holidays!

Such a cute little shop! I had a vanilla latte, and it was delicious. They have a variety of pastries and breakfast sandwiches, too. The staff was very sweet and helped us get information on the French language group that used to meet here. The owner was very kind as well. He chatted with us for a bit about his 11 years owning the place. They have local art on display that they change out every month as well. Very cute place to stop by.
