AMC Jersey Gardens 20 — Attraction in Elizabeth

I have not experienced any problems.

As an A-list member, I order my tickets using the on-line AMC App which allows me to bypass ticket purchase(s) at the window. Keep in mind, when making a movie selection online, there is this neat little feature during checkout that provides the option to pre-order food and/or concessions ahead of time by adding it to the " movie cart" and to subsequently complete the purchase.

Generally, your order is ready at the Express Order Window for pickup prior to the start of your movie previews.

Occasionally, a typical experience for me at Jersey Gardens goes as follows:

The movie attendant scans my phone and verifies my ID. Next, I pick-up my concessions from the Express Order line and last but not least, I am on my way to the corresponding auditorium to see my featured film.

Every now and then the schedule is modified as I may have to perhaps use the restroom, stop by the circulation desk to speak with the staff regarding upcoming attractions, and/or maybe just have casual conversations prior to the start of my movie selection if the courtesy desk is empty.

A word to the wise, if time permits and your schedule is light, you can take advantage of featured films that are scheduled to be released on Friday usually on the day before (Thursday).

$5.00 Tuesdays are usually in effect for those who may want to take advantage of low prices.

Even more, if time permits and you have no major commitments for the night or the next day which may include work, school, etc. and you really want to avoid the crowds, there is always the option to go during the week.

All in all, "AMC Jersey Gardens 20" may not be the "Fox Theatre" so-to-speak, but I have nothing bad to say, as the staff has been great. When in doubt, I constantly remind myself that some of the staff members are attendants-in-training, students, first time employees, etc. So with that being said, this will always be a movie theater of my choice as I have thoroughly enjoyed past experiences and look forward to even better experiences and/or improvements for others as well.

First things first. Deadpool and Wolverine is fantastic 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆. If you haven't seen it yet you're denying yourself a rare opportunity in life to laugh continuously until your sides hurt and happy tears 😭 roll down your faces. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are the perfect comedic duo!!! I hope they plan on making 5 more of these team up movies with Deadpool and Wolverine. I went to the AMC theater 🎭 @ Jersey Gardens Mall and I'm going back there to see it again. 😃👍🏾🙌🏾 And speaking 🗣️ of AMC @ Jersey Gardens, they have invested serious money 💰💰💰💰💰 into making the movie 🎥🍿 viewing experience as top tier as they possibly can for their customers. Literally every seat in their auditoriums is a great seat.💺 And viewing options are off the scale!!! AMC @ Jersey Gardens has reclining chairs that have built in speakers and vibration at key moments in the movie along with 3D Laser Surround Sound with the screens wrapping around you so you feel like you're on the set with the actors as they were filming!!! Alright, maybe they don't have quite that effect. But they're close!!! 😁 VERY CLOSE!!! The staff is friendly and helpful. The large drinks come with free refills. The concession stand is like concessions at any theater. It's going to put a nice 1-1-2 🥊🥊😵‍💫 on your wallet. But if you can get your mind off the prices and refocus on the food itself you'll see the food tastes really good. 👍🏾😊 I'm almost tempted to say the food is worth the cost.... almost want to say it...but I won't...but I was close!!! 😂 There's plenty of free parking. And security patrols the parking lots. Armed security is present inside the theater so no shenanigans of any kind will be present and that includes someone kicking the back of your seat repeatedly. If that occurs all you have to do is get security and that person will be escorted outside and never allowed back in. There are theaters closer to where I live but I make the trip to Elizabeth and AMC @ Jersey Gardens because I know I'm going to be comfortable while I'm enjoying the movie I'm watching. To whom this may concern:

Today, I wanted to see "Gone in the Night" at a 7/25/22, 5:15pm showing at AMC Jersey Gardens. I tried purchasing tickets in advance using my AMC Stubs membership. In addition get a second ticket for my wife in order to celebrate our anniversary. This was part of her present. The app would not accept it and kept crashing.

I called the movie theater directly at 4:10pm. I spoke to a female employee that reassured me that she will accept my AMC Stubs number and allow me access to the theater. I arrive at 5:08pm.... There was a male gentleman claiming he was "The Supervisor". He informed me he will not accept my AMC Stubs number and demanded I pay him a ransom of $28.17 for entry.

I informed him that I spoke to a female employee over the phone that reassured me using my AMC Stubs number will be accepted. The "Supervisor" refused and still demanded I pay his ransom for entry.

I have been a long time member of AMC Stubs and have gone to multiple theaters throughout New Jersey. This experience was the worst experience IN MY LIFE! Unfortunately, "Gone in the Night" is not available in any AMC except AMC Jersey Gardens as of this writing. I lusually go near AMC Rockaway Mall, East Hanover NJ, Wayne NJ, and Middletown NY.

AVOID THIS THEATER AT ALL COSTS!

A month Update later(2022): AMC Corporate reached out to me and was able to make things right. Took them long enough, but I was happy. However, I'd still try to avoid this theater as much...
