I had a disappointing experience at this store and won’t be returning. As a responsible dog owner, I appreciate businesses that foster a welcoming, pet-friendly atmosphere, but that was not the case here. Upon entering with my German Shepherd puppy, I was met with an unnecessarily harsh warning from the owner. Instead of a polite heads-up about his dogs' temperament, he bluntly stated they would "take him down" if he barked and ordered me to "stay on that side of the store." In a town known for being dog-friendly, this felt unprofessional and unsettling—there were far more respectful ways to communicate a precaution. The owner seemed to hold an air of superiority about his dogs. I overheard him mention to someone that his dogs were "European," as if implying they were somehow better than others. The comment came off as dismissive and arrogant, adding to the unpleasant atmosphere. German Shepherd owners often share a natural camaraderie, bonded by their mutual love for the breed. Typically, discovering someone else owns a GSD leads to a friendly conversation, but that wasn’t the case here. Instead, his arrogant and dismissive attitude made the experience unwelcoming. I had been searching for furniture to furnish my newly built home, but after this experience, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. If a store chooses to have animals on-site, the owner should ensure they don’t pose a threat to customers’ pets—or simply put up a sign stating that dogs aren’t welcome.

Update: My puppy is still learning and gets excited wanting to interact and play with other dogs. I had control of him and claiming that I was tangled in his leash is an outright lie. While I appreciate concerns for safety, the remark about your dog "taking mine down" was unnecessary and aggressive—a typical response from someone with an inflated ego who shouldn't own a protection dog. First off, I want to say that I have been shopping at this store for many, many years. I have read the negative reviews and I have to say, I have never, ever experienced anything like that at this store! I have to be totally honest here. I have a business down in Tampa, Florida, and those negative reviews I am certain are all from the same customer asking friends to write false negative reviews. It happens all the time with small businesses. Kathy, Sarah and Nick, have always treated me like I've been family. They are patient, kind and just overall amazing human beings. As far as there Amish furniture goes, you can't find that quality anywhere and believe you me I looked everywhere to find quality furniture that I could be proud of. Their cabin packages are by far the most reasonable packages I have ever found and are perfect for us out-of-towners that have purchased investment properties in the area that need to be furnished. They also carry a wide variety of cabin decor it is just beautiful. But quite honestly, don't take my word for it. Go in and see them for yourselves. I promise you they are the best furniture store in town! And say hi to the dogs for me!

It wasn't easy getting the furniture in my house and I never saw Mathew or any member of his team lose patience for one second. They were efficient and in out in no time at all!
