The WORST service in the world! It is almost like they are deliberately oblique. They literally throw up obstacles to being able to complete you order and track it. I've never seen anything like it. The show room is pretty, but that is all they have going for them. They really do not mind at all if they waste YOUR time. I picked out the stone I wanted and sent my contractor(very experienced) down to place the order with the dimensions. HE was not able to complete the order on our behalf on the first trip and had to go back. It was a very simple order. He finally managed to place the order with one of the salespeople, so that we had a work order to start with, but they could not accept my credit card payment over the phone or internet by referencing the work order, requiring that we physically come in to the showroom to make the payment. And of course, we could not get on the schedule for installation until they received the full payment. So, with the copy of the work order and the order number in mind, we made the trip down to the showroom. Once there, the completely unintelligible sales person said he could not find the order by the order number provided and could not take payment. So, more dithering, two more trips and another five phone calls to find the one guy who speaks English there. He finally explained that they needed a drawing from the contractor. The contractor HAD given it to them at the time he orginally placed the job order, but I had to go back and get it from him again, scan it myself and send it in to the salesperson who speaks English to make sure that he attached it to the file this time. THEN, go back down for another in person visit, to provide a credit card number. Then call back separately to try to get on the schedule. More calls to people I could not understand, who get irritated and impatient when you have to ask them to repeat what they said. I finally called the manager to talk to him about the inability to make a simply c.c. payment by phone. Not only was he not interested in hearing about a customer experience, he said "it can't be done". In spite of a giant showroom and a huge staff, apparently they can't upgrade their computer system to do what literally any other retailer can do with a credit card payment.
Today was the scheduled installation date, but no one had confirmed timing, so I called again to ask what time I should expect them. The woman who answered said she could not look the job up by the order number or the property address, and that I had to give her the name of the original sales person who had placed the order, because all the orders were filed by salesperson, whose name I have never known. So, more dithering and finally called back with the order number. When I called it I id'd again that I wanted to know the timing, and she said...they always show up between 10 and 11 to do the installation. I said will they call me, and she said, when they show up, if they have any trouble getting in, they'll call you.
Un-freaking believable. There MUST be a company with a decent select and a better service record than this, because this is the most Monty Pythonesue experience I've had in...
Read moreI bought a 60â Mirror with LED light and I was told that I canât return if I made mistake with the size. With that being said, we were cautious in unloading. After putting the mount and hung the mirror thatâs when we took the thin plastic on all four edges. To my dismay, there was a crack on one edge. I went back to the store and spoke to the lady manager as I couldnât forget how it was lifted up to load in my car. I told her that after checking the mirror they put it back in the box with just the thin plastic on the edges. The way it was lifted on one edge putting the whole weight of the mirror caused the crack. She said it was light. Got a copy of the video taken from their camera that clearly showed it was lifted on one edge. I was asking for consideration for a replacement since the damage was on their end. She told me theyâre not replacing it and I have to buy a new one. What a scam! $429.85!!! That made me feel off and upset. Before I had to say something, she bluffed me by saying, I know youâre not a bad person. Such a scammer! We just started our full house renovation and this is a damage control to NOT buy anything from GRANITE EXPO EMERYVILLE!!!
I regret not reading the reviews before purchasing items from this store. VERY RUDE WITH AN ATTITUDE STORE MANAGER EMMA! TREATED ME LIKE AN ENEMY INSTEAD OF A CUSTOMER.
After a bad encounter with this lady asking me to buy another mirror when the damage happened on their end, lifting the mirror with no protection but a thin plastic on the edges, putting all the weight of a 60â mirror on one edge to load in my car. She said it was very light. I put in a bad review and went back to the store to ask for a consideration again to replace the mirror. I was asked to go to her which I know will not end up good but had no choice. While waiting for quite a while, she was already showing me attitude stapling the receipts in front of me for another customer. After assisting a customer, she went to me saying, I know you! I turned on my video to record our conversation and she was looking at my phone. I started asking for a consideration again and she would cut me off every time I would say something. This time, she was willing to replace it in one condition, to take the review right at that second. I told her I will take it out when I get my replacement, she insisted and if I donât take it out at that moment she will not replace it. I then said, I will just dispute it, she shouted back and said go and dispute it! When I stood up to leave, I heard she threw something. I messaged her after I left saying send me a text that you will replace the mirror and I will take the bad review out. The message was read but no response. Very...
Read moreSeveral months ago. Granite Expo in Emeryville, CA, was our first stop in our journey to remodel our outdated kitchen. We had no idea how the process worked nor pricing. We just looked and left, we were overwhelmed.
During the next few months we spoke with many professional remodeling company sales reps who had ok ideas but gave us quotes ranging from ridiculous to insane. We live in a 1960âs California contempo ranch tract house from the early â60âs, no level of replacement cabinets and floor is worth 100k!!!! We kept looking for a solution until we found a great contractor and to our surprise he preferred Granite Expo as his source for materials.
In our opinion, working through your contractor is the best way to work with Granite Expo. I would also do your homework and go around looking at different cabinet types, shapes, styles and finish looks. By the time we returned to Granite Expo we knew what looks we liked, our contractor had all our measurements and a strong relationship with a Granite Expo sales rep. We were able to sit down and make decisions about each cabinet and look at cabinet faces with countertops, floors and backsplashes all in one place.
Yes, this is a project that takes time but by working with our contractor and Granite Expo we were able to get the kitchen of our dreams and save a significant amount of money.
Bonus Points: Granite Expo has a large manufacturing site in Oakland so buying from them is adding jobs, tax revenues and investment to our East...
