UPDATED REVIEW: After posting my original review, the store owner, Brian, reached out to me and made it clear he was passionate about his business and wanted to do everything he could to resolve the issue at hand. Within the day he had ordered a new keyboard for my laptop and kept me updated throughout the whole process. A few days later, when the keyboard arrived, I dropped my computer off -- I took it in to their new Cherry Creek location as that was much closer to home for me. I had dropped it off later in the afternoon, and despite the snow storm they had it ready for me the very next morning!
Brian, and his team at Cherry Creek were friendly, very helpful, and quick, and really changed my opinion on Mac Outlet.
ORIGINAL POST: I took my Mac in, and paid $160 for a battery replacement and had my laptop returned with a defective keyboard, awesome. (Shift key not working/unable to right click using the control key).
I contacted the store the next morning (as I picked the computer up in the late afternoon) and they said I was OK to bring the computer in the following day after I got off work. That afternoon I called again to confirm how long it would take to resolve the issue. The rude man on the phone then informed me that they wouldn't bother even having a look at it since I'd be bringing it 30/45 minutes before closing. Essentially, not wanting to be bothered having to do work that might require them to stay late (even though this is an issue they caused, so real nice). He also tried to tell me that they keyboard malfunction would not have been caused by changing the batter (I informed him that this was incorrect as this generation mac has the battery built underneath the keyboard). I also informed them that this was a HUGE pain for me, and it wasn't like I exactly wanted to go back and forth with getting my laptop re-fixed.
I hung up, very upset and angry. 30 or so minutes later, Trey called me back saying they would look at it if I wanted to drop by but would most likely not have it fixed by the time they closed and I'd have to come back the following day. I thanked him and told him I'd just come by tomorrow. To which he either hung up or disconnected the call. I called back a minute later, no answer. I called back a few minutes later, as I wanted to follow up and make sure they knew I wasn't coming by, as I had planned to leave work early to get there with enough time for them, but it had gotten too late now. I left him a message, and have heard nothing back. I didn't have time to go back today, as I work a full time job, but so much for...
Read moreDon't need the Applestore anymore. Situation: Client spills a beer all over my Macbook. Shock ensues. Quickly dry computer, close it and head to Applestore 1. Wait time is 3hrs to talk to someone. I out in an appt then drive 20mins to the next Applestore. During drive I talk to a barriage of voicemail prompts and "automated attendants" to try and schedule an immediate appt to just drop off the computer. As I pulled into the parming lot finally get someone who says...I can't just drop off the computer. Funny....I can do that with my car, but not my computer. Plus side: phone calls kept me occupied while driving. Arrive at Applestore 2, Wait 20mins. "Genius" takes computer in back. 15minutes later he comes back with bill of $1400+. Says he needs to ship it out, no guarantee of data recovery, timeframe 5-6 days. Next day call MacOutlet. Talk to Dillion (Herein referred to as "Hero"). "Yes bring it in I can look at it." Drive to MacOutlet. Hero takes Macbook apart (in front of me) looks around, cleans a few things says it does not look to bad. I can clean it and try to see if we can get it working again. Initial charge $250 + any parts. Head ache ensues and fear falls upon thee. Hero says "It will likely take all day, probably have it back to you tomorrow." Dispaired man writing this review says "Ok, but will you test the drive and let me know today if my data can be recovered?" Hero says "yes, I can do that." Momentary relief comes upon thee but still heart attack prone. Head back to office. Workday over and on the way home, Hero calls and says computer needs a battery, the data is good and computer is working. Total $290.
Recap: Applestore = why?
MacOutlet = I am sending you all Beer. Would highly recommend you keep it away from your computers. And don't invite my client over.
Thank you, Dillion and Tracy. For your help, swift work and integrity. You have created a MacOutlet Evangelist. Side story: At less than $300 my client was able to riemburse me without getting any higher ups at either of our companies involved. If his accident forced a $1400 bill and no computer for 5 days that very well could have cost my 27 year old client his job and a blackmark on his career history.
Sometimes the smallest things have dramatic effects. Thank...

I spilled the smallest amount of teriyaki onto my trackpad and it caused the entire keyboard and trackpad to seize. The laptop would work fine if another keyboard was plugged in. But I was told to take it in because it could be the logicboard. Fearing the worst I took it in to the Mac Outlet. Drew and Dylan were really patient and kind to me the entire time. It took them longer than their quote to get to diagnosing my laptop, there were emergencies and I guess much bigger issues with the laptops ahead of me than originally anticipated. However, when they did get back to me they spent time looking for a cheaper part for my laptop in order to repair it. When I did finally get the call it was repaired with no extra complications! They repaired it within two hours and I didn't lose ANY data. I was prepared to wait so I wasn't bothered by waiting the nearly 2 weeks total to get my laptop completely repaired. But I have it back now and for a better price and treatment than apple would have ever given me. I'd had a lot of bad experiences with the apple store that scared me out of ever going back. I would definitely return to this...
