This is the best quality shoe store I've ever been to for 2 reasons. 1 reason why is that the gentleman that was running the store on 9-20-21, was super intelligent on how to pick the right shoe for hiking. He also explained to us that wool socks are actually better than cotton socks especially in hiking because it wicks away moisture which helps prevents sores. He also explained you want about a half inch of play in front of your big toe inside the shoe. They also have a little ramp they have you hike up and down to test the new shoe. The 2nd reason is that they only sell high quality hiking shoes. We bought a pair of Keens that will last for years. We also bought 2 pairs of wool hiking socks that are made from the wool of sheep from New Zealand.

My husband got a great deal on Keene sandals (his others wore out), he’s been looking for these in our home town and can’t find them. We ended up going back for hiking shoes for me, the shoes I had hiking tore up on one of the trails and rolled my ankle! Both the salespeople were very helpful especially with the hiking boots. I wore them two more days and even tho they were brand new they were the most comfortable hiking boot I’ve w we had! Very friendly and helpful sales people!

Late last summer went in because I’m 61, and was having minor knee discomfort doing my 6 miles a day of dog walking. They set me up with a pair of Hoka one one trail runners. Very plush. Worked perfect. This spring tweaked my ankle a bit. Back to store. They set me up with a pair of Hoka one one Sky Kaha hikers. Very plush. Worked perfect. 9 miles in 2 days. Great support and cushioning. They know their stuff.

I stopped by yesterday (07/10/24) to see if they could save my boot that lost the sole on a hike. I was truly blown away by the kindness and knowledge of both gentlemen who helped me. This place is family owned and you can tell. The shop is amazing and has some good stuff at very decent prices. I ultimately decided I wanted a nicer hiking boot that would last longer, and one of them gave me some great tips on finding a good boot while the young man at shoe repair salvaged my old boot. I don't say this lightly, but I am so in love with this place because of the kindness I felt from all the employees. I will be ordering my boots from here in the future, as businesses like this should be supported. I could not recommend this place...

If you're serious about hiking and climbing, get your new boots here! You can find hiking, climbing and fishing gear all over Estes Park. But, these people know their business! They carry the best technical boots and shoes(and socks!) for all the boulder hopping you could desire. They actually take the time to ask you questions and ensure appropriate fit for the activities you want your new footwear for, even if you just want to chill in your cabin. They have it all covered. Don't just go for the cheapest boots. You will regret it! Let one of the boot specialists here help you out. The prices are competitive and I found some great "Smart Wool" brand socks here, to go with my new Vasque hikers. Keep...
