I would give 0 stars if I could. I don’t want to point name, let’s call him Mr.Romeo. who has the GM tag, treated me terribly—not just once, but every time I come in. I live right here in Euless, so I occasionally need to return Amazon packages at this Staples store.
For example, today—I’m still in the parking lot writing this review—I was the first in line while I was in store, at the return counter. There was no one else at the checkout lines either. Mr.Romeo didn’t acknowledge me at all. Then another white customer walked in, and suddenly Mr.Romeo turned on his professional charm: greeting him, making small talk, and then even helped him before me. That customer actually pointed out that I was here first, but Mr.Romeo said, “That’s okay, yours is easier.”
Later, when Mr.Romeo was scanning the QR code on my phone, he rudely said, “Can I have your phone!”—no manners, just a cold attitude. I understand some day can be tough, so I even stayed a bit longer to observe how he treated the customer behind me. Again, he was polite and professional with her.
Mr. Romeo, did I do something to upset you? This isn’t the first time—it’s the third time this week I’ve interacted with you, and every time it’s the...
Read moreA shadow of its former self. Walking in today the store seemed like it had less inventory, a feeling borne out when I saw the special Sharpie display had been dismantled. Additionally, the notebook section is very sparce and there were almost no notebook choices for narrow (college) rule. But I did find some nice index cards on sale and I brought them up to the register--with the check out light on--and I waited for a cashier to show up. he finally showed up and I was told that I needed to walk all the way around this other display, back to the same counter because that's where the line started. meanwhile he started helping another woman who apparently was given the map to the secret check out location. I found that incredibly rude. really really rude. But karma is awesome and a 2nd cashier opened a 2nd, more accessible register and I was checked out before the lady ahead of me was.... winning!!! From now on, only Office...
Read moreWent in to print documents I needed since I could not print from home. The boy in the printing department directed me to a computer to print from, but it was locked. For several minutes he been going back and forth with someone via radio to unlock it, at which point, I just decided to leave after that time. If a manager was in the building, why were they not on their way up to the front as opposed to being on the radio and telling me to just hold on for several minutes? Furthermore, if you’re going to have employees working in that department, shouldn’t they need to be able to know how to access those computers that way their customers can use them. Otherwise, why have them to work in that department? Furthermore, the boy working in that department was not dressed properly for his job. Skinny jeans rolled up past the knees are not proper work attire.
Poorly organized and highly...
