Michaels — Attraction in Fairbanks

I've always liked micheals at one time you could get any craft stuff you needed. But lately I've noticed they have gotten ride of most of there crafts and other stuff. All I've seen is rows and rows of yarn,canvas, more frames, almost all there jewelry stuff is gone, flowers, different types of lights and a very tiny half a row for diy wedding stuff, diy jewelry makings, barley anything for kids. It saddens me because Ben Franklin's is gone and Joanns is so outrageously expensive micheals was the go to store but thats not the case any more. I'm always going here for craft supplies! Most of the items have similar prices to those on Amazon, and if they dont have exactly what your looking for, they usually have something close... My one piece of advice is if your looking for very professional art supplies, like high quality paints or brushes, they likely wont have it, and if they do it will usually be quite expensive. Also, I have saved hundreds of dollars there over the years using their coupons, (just Google Michaels coupons) you can also give them competitor coupons, like Joan's, and are usually always willing to help you...

Everyone that works there is very helpful and friendly. I like how they don't announce that. There is somebody nearby to help you like at other stores. It's always a nice Environment I like the Self check out. Weather. Places only have 1 person working at the register. Then there's a long line when somebody wants to return something, so you have to stand there and wait. They even show you how to use the self checkout or they do it for you and they're very helpful.
