Brewsters: A Dependable Delight If you're searching for a dependable and delectable dining experience, Brewsters is a standout choice. As patrons for several years, we can confidently call it our go-to spot for a sit-down meal that consistently delivers on flavor, variety, and exceptional service. Their menu is expansive, catering to a wide range of tastes with classic favorites like burgers, sandwiches, steak, and pasta—truly the essentials of comfort food. Every dish is dependably delicious, making it hard to pick a favorite, but we do have a few standouts worth mentioning. The cheese curds paired with pepper jelly are an indulgent treat that never fails to please. The Halibut Tacos and savory onion rings are another must-try combination, while the Cajun Chicken Sandwich served alongside a generous green dinner salad offers a satisfying and flavorful option. With a menu this diverse, Brewsters ensures there’s something to satisfy most appetites. Beyond the food, the new restaurant's ambiance is stunning. The low lighting and private atmosphere create a cozy yet sophisticated dining space, perfect for an intimate dinner or a relaxed evening with friends. It’s a setting that enhances the dining experience, contributing to the sense of warmth and comfort that Brewsters exudes. A special mention must go out to Candace, who has consistently provided excellent service, making each visit memorable. Her friendly demeanor and attentive care elevate the meal into a true experience. The rest of the staff, too, deserve commendation for their accommodating nature and their dedication to ensuring every guest enjoys a fantastic time. In short, Brewsters has become more than just a restaurant to us—it’s a dependable culinary haven. Whether you’re there for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, you can count on Brewsters to deliver quality, comfort, and a touch of indulgence. Highly...

My husband and myself ate here today and was not impressed at all. To start with, our menus were falling apart and sticky. We ordered some drinks and they were having some problems with their soda machine and they brought me a watered down un-carbonated coke. I sent that back for a lemonade and there was stuff inside the ice, I decided to stick with my bottled water that I had in my purse. we ordered the sampler which comes with potato wedges, wings, and cheese sticks. Very small portions for the price being over $20 bucks but whatever. cheese sticks were under cooked, potato skins were over cooked, the wings were ok. My husband ordered a steak, veggies, and mashed potato. Everything was bland and flavorless. Everything tasted like it came from a frozen bag and reheated. I ordered a burger and fries, and again it tasted like it was a frozen patty and frozen fries. Flavorless and bland. We left majority of our food on the plate, the waitress didn’t ask what’s wrong with the food or even ask if we wanted a to go box, which makes us think she knew the food was trash. For almost a $90 bill, it really wasn’t worth it, even with our lowered expectations of food being basic in Alaska. Do yourself a favor and just cook at home. Would...

Went to Brewsters for the 4th time. Excited to get my double order fish and chips. Craved this all day. Very disappointed, 45 minute wait after placing my order. Would understand with a semi packed restaurant. Well it wasn't packed! Finally after salvating for 45 minutes my food arrived. Disappointing! Cold waffle fries, 😫. Now this was a double order, but why only 10 pcs? Is there a waffle fry shortage too? Well didn't worry too much about that, on to the succulent fried fish. STOP, NOT THIS TIME. This fish was rubbery, I literally bounced it in my dish. Let me tell you, I thought it was a nightmare and was eating my memory foam mattress. That was all I can handle, I asked for them to take it away. Such a disrespect to the halibut. They said they would charge half. I said fine. Didn't care anymore after 1:15 minutes sitting there. But what really annoys me is the fact that on my check it says customer dislikes. No my good sir, I love this dish everything except this time. How about you put we messed this up!! Dissatisfied...

My girlfriend and I both ordered baby back ribs and garlic mashed potatoes for dinner here, I had a soda with my meal while she had water - her choice… lol The garlic mashed potatoes is the only reason the food got a rating of 2 instead of a 1… they are excellent. The ribs were scary upon arrival because the amount of sauce slathered on them. I ordered meat not a bottle of sauce, but hey if you can’t cook good then try covering it with sauce is obviously some peoples decision. I pulled a rib bone and lifted the whole rack of ribs off the plate and told my girlfriend this isn’t a good sign. We ate all we could handle of it before I needed a drink to wash it down but my glass was empty and had been since the food was delivered, we stacked the dishes to signal we were done, paid the bill and left quietly. The bad part is, we were wanting to try their shakes for dessert, if the rest of the meal had gone well. I must add, I am from Texas and hold meat cooking to a higher standard than some others do.

Stopped by here for dinner simply because it was close to the Extended Stay Hotel. Quite possibly the BEST fish and chips I have ever had. Perfectly fried halibut with an Alaskan Amber Ale beer batter. Crispy and airy, flaky/moist halibut, and a fantastic tarter sauce. The waffle fries were on point. I went out of my way to have my waitress give compliments to the chef. The service was attentive and my waitress was very friendly. For $28, I had halibut fish and chips (hearty serving), a house salad on the side, and a 22oz Alaskan seasonal brew. Deal. They have a lot of other great looking items on the menu that I will certainly be back to try when I am in Fairbanks again.
