So not worth the money. The food was sub par and for the quality and serving size it's way overpriced. I would not eat here again. The staff is friendly and the service was great, but not the sandwiches. The cheese on the "grilled cheese" was barely warmed, not close to melted. The Reuben had two pieces of meat and I had to search for the Swiss cheese. Also - when the Reuben says it comes with dill pickle it's sliced and IN the sandwich. That really altered the traditional Reuben taste and not in a way that I enjoyed. And I like dill pickles. The fries were good, The cole slaw was watery and had an odd taste. It was a half cup serving for $5.99. I had 1 bite, my husband had 1 bite to confirm and I told the server it wasn't good. She said she'd relay the message, but I had to request it be taken off my bill. The atmosphere is nostalgic and maybe the breakfast is good - the menu is mostly breakfast foods, but the food we tried was not good. We will not return.

Might be the worst dining experience in Fairbanks. Came around 2pm the day after Thanksgiving. Restaurant appeared to be only 50 percent full. Ordered a Loco Moco and Seafood Alfredo. Didn't get our food until 35 minutes later. Loco Moco was very underseasoned. It appeared that all they did was slap ground beef on the grill and placed it over rice and topped it off with some gravy. The Seafood Alfredo could have definitely been a lot better specially for the price. The sauce tasted like the canned version. The staff also forgot to serve garlic bread and soup that came with the Alfredo. Overall this restaurant is located in a nice location. Definitely noticed the interior upgrades compared to the previous location. However food and service quality need some serious overhaul.

Place is seat where you want. No covid precautions. Plates presentable. Taste 6 out of 10. Hash brown 4 out of 10. Omelet 6 out of 10. It seems more like veggies with an egg tortilla on top. Pancake 3 out of 10. No taste and cold. Bread... well you can't go wrong with sourdough. Pork chops 5 out of 10. Very dry. Coffee ☕ was ok. Service was 9 out of 10. Time on service 10 out of 10. Quick service 10 out of 10. Waitress with round of coffee 10 out of 10. Cleanness of place 8 out of 10. Substitutions super expensive. I substituted a 🍖 meat (bacon) for a veggie 🍅 (tomatoe) and it cost me $2.00. Usually is some cents or a dollar but two? Man... I should have had the whole tomatoe.

Would rate 0 stars if I could. When you enter youre greeted by outdated decor and repairs that are needed. It was also noticeably warmer than it should be. All 3 if us were sweating just sitting at the table. This should've been our warning to leave but with good reviews we pressed on. The waiter was frazzled and had trouble tracking orders and refilling drinks. We waited for an hour giving the benefit of the doubt before we asked about our order. The waiter said I know what youre going to ask and I'll go check. While he was checking one group of people sat, waited for 20 min, then left with no one talking to them. A couple sat next to us ordered and got their food in 30 min. We got up asked for the manager and began to leave. The manager refused to apologize for the wait and took offense when we complained. No apology, no offer for a discount, and was short with us. Like we caused the issue. As he went to look for our food 1 of 3 orders came out and he ran away. The couple that came in after us was finishing their food when we got the other 2 plates. Not only did it take about 80 min to get the food the order was wrong and incomplete. Extra mushrooms were present when we asked for none. Toast was missing. All the food was bland, unseasoned, and under or over cooked. Im not sure how this place gets any good reviews with such lousy service and food. We talked to the waiter again since the manager was rude, accusing, and hiding. The waiter asked we not make a bigger deal of this because he was worried about getting into trouble. The manager needs to be restrained on customer service if they keep him but I would suggest they fire him. Being rude to customers who complain about food taking over an hour is unwarranted. Avoid this place if you value your time and do t want to get sick from the...

First off, don’t take two stars as a reflection of the food. The Bakery serves really good and tasteful food, the staff is extremely caring and attentive, the restaurant is clean and really gives that hometown cafe feel. But... The food is extremely overpriced after having moved down the street. I usually get the corned beef hash which is $13 and you get enough food to fill most people, today I got the Volcano omelette—which was really tasty— but for nearly $17 I expected a OMELETTE that would fill me to the brim and put me in a food coma shortly after. To my surprise I received everything that the omelette entailed UNDERNEATH a blanket made up of probably 2 eggs. I spoke with the waitress and explained that I was happy with the taste of the food I just expected: 1. An actual omellete and 2. An omelette worthy of the nearly $20 price. She replied that I wasn’t the first customer that day to say the same thing and she gets that complaint on the regular. I understand that the expenses of Alaska—food costs, rent, etc— force restaurants to charge customers double when compared to lower 48 prices. But, from when they were located next to Taco Bell to now the food sizes have been cut dramatically while the prices have been increased drastically. Choose to either keep the prices and make the food worthy or lower the prices and keep the food...

We wanted to try something we havent tried yet, so came here with the family, they were short staffed, which is understanding on the wait time, it said "seat yourself" we made a loop, all tables were dirty, not one clean one. We patiently kept waiting, there was quite a line forming behind us, the 2 employees there kept helping the 5 tables that had people there, totally ignoring the huge crew at the door, instead of having those people wait a couple minutes so they can clean off these tables and seat the people at the door, we waited probably a good 15 or so min, then the guy employee walked over and was not polite at all, basically barked at us "WHAT is going on here?" We politely responded "just waiting on a table" he barked back at us "just find a dirty table then and sit at it and once we get a chance we'll come clean it" and just stormed off, a min later the woman came over and yelled from about 5 tables away "Ill clean them when I get chance!" ummm ok....we will just go else where, thanks for the "great" customer service! I understand being short staffed but you dont have to be rude and take it out on your customers! Especially first time ones! We drove a min over to food factory, got greeted instantly, seated right away, drinks brought to us within a couple minutes and they were just the sweetest...
