PROS:The golf course is well designed, fun and original. The set pieces were great and it's decently challenging for anyone. Also it's affordable and takes about 90 minutes to go through with four people.
CONS: The music is hysterically abysmal, it completely ruins your sense of immersion. Common sense needs to be put into the "DJ List" which is a glorified Spotify Playlist. I highly doubt anyone is going to be playing Beyonce in a graveyard and you shouldn't be skipping Aha's Take on me for Sweet Home Alabama. Here's a few suggestions if you actually even care about your buisness. Dark Synthwave (IE: Carpenter Brut, Pertubator, Rezz, John Carpenter, Magic Sword), Classic metal (IE: Black Sabbath, Metallica, Judas Priest) and film scores such as Alien and Mandy. If parents have an issue with their kids listening to Metallica and Black Sabbath, that's on them and i'm sorry they haven't listened to anything with the exception of the same Yo Yo Ma concert for the past fifteen years.
Secondly, the "Monster Trivia" has nothing to do with monsters.
Here are the questions: Who's Mario's Brother? What office does the TV show "The office" take place?, How many bones are in the human body?
It takes five minutes to google where Dracula was from (he's from Wallachia,Romania and moved to Transylvania), what Dr. Frankenstein said when he made his monster, or as a hard one, what was John Carpenter's first film? ( Christine)
Finally, the "Laser challenge" is a joke (which is one of the reasons we drove 40 minutes to go to this specific location) , some of the panels didn't work and the employees didn't give a damn when my friend requested another go around and he had to bug them for another chance. If they're that worried about losing $1.50, they should make the machines work properly.
In Conclusion, it's hard to open a small niche buisness like this, I get it, but it's very easy to make small changes that cost no money in order to make the experience more enjoyable, hell i'll even do consultation for you if that makes the experience more enjoyable for others. I'd go to another Monster mini golf, but avoid this one...
Read moreAfter a wonderful morning, celebrating my 3 year olds birthday ,at MG, I feel obliged , to give credit , where credit is due, when I say , to the press and or those parents/ caregivers looking for a venue for their own Party, that MG and the MG staff are way above par for the course! Hole in one! ( pun , fully intended) High fives , all around!
Apologies, if I offend some parents , when I say: you’ve been to one birthday party for a 3 year old , you’ve been to every birthday party for a 3 year old, however, this place and its staff manage to create a venue and private party space with an authentic vibe that’s age appropriate, safe, enjoyable, intimate, unique, and fun for children and parents alike... Thank you Maggie et all for making this whole mom thing , a mom with a discerning eye , I may add, a bit easier And a lot less stressful ... I can’t say enough good , or give enough stars to you guys regarding the private party thing, hopefully, I’ll get to tell you in person , when one of my children’s peers books a party here, that would be a party, I’m actually looking...
Read moreMy daughter had a birthday party at Monster Golf. They started with food (you order from them that they got from Hollywood Pizza), then the arcade (which as part of the package), then cake, then a round of miniature golf. The girls had a lot of fun.
Kayla was our party host, and she was excellent with the girls. She got them hyped for fun. All was a positive experience
The only reason for 4 stars is that the experience for 10 people is expensive. The arcade card for the kids only allowed for 4-5 games. Each hame on average is $0.75-$1.00 If you want to increase the amount on the card, you can, but it increases your already expensive package.
My suggestion, the place makes a profit on parties, they should include at least $10 for guests of the party and -$15 card for birthday kid for free as part of the package so the kids could have more fun without making the party girls parents have to dig deeper into their pockets just so the kids can...
