The gym promptly addressed my concerns by contacting me the same day and taking the following steps:
The coach involved is undergoing additional training. The gym has implemented new protocols to improve supervision and address similar situations in the future. My daughter has been moved to a class on a different day to avoid any further discomfort. I am satisfied with the gym's response and their commitment to resolving the issue. I appreciate their efforts to improve their services and ensure the safety and well-being of their young members.
While the initial incident was upsetting, I believe the gym is taking the necessary steps to prevent similar situations from occurring again. I will continue my membership and hope that the gym will continue to prioritize the safety and positive experience of all their members.
Original Review - Disturbing Incident and Membership Cancellation
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with a recent incident at The Little Gym of Falls Church. On Friday, November 22nd, during my daughter's class, I witnessed a severe lack of supervision and an unprofessional interaction between a coach and a child.
The coach left a group of five 3-year-olds unattended, a highly irresponsible act that jeopardized the children's safety. When an incident occurred where a child fell, the coach's response was both inappropriate and accusatory. Instead of addressing the situation calmly, they immediately blamed my daughter without conducting a proper investigation. The subsequent handling of the situation was both forceful and disrespectful.
Such behavior is completely unacceptable and goes against the values of a children's gym. I urge the management to take immediate action, including a thorough investigation, retraining of the coach, and stricter supervision protocols.
Due to the severity of the incident and the unprofessional conduct of the coach, I have made the difficult decision to cancel my membership. I cannot entrust my child's safety and well-being to an environment where such negligence and inappropriate behavior are tolerated.

Read moreI have been bringing my daughter to the Little gym for over a year now, and I have found the staff especially Ty and Antonio to be very professional and generous in spirit. They do their best to engage with the kids even when the kids are so young that they may not be ready to 100% follow instructions on everything all the time. It’s a very service oriented business, and I find the service to be very friendly. I would check to see that the classes work for your schedule if you’re interested. While your kids are here, you can do a little grocery shopping at the Safeway or grab a bite to eat right nearby so it’s convenient. I have noticed that since the shopping center has built out, it’s a little bit more difficult to park. During a early evening class, you might have to wait a few minutes to snag a space. The shopping center has filled up all their leases it looks like. The facility itself is well-maintained and in good shape and clean. For the kids dance classes they also seem to loan out shoes which is nice since the kids grow so quickly.
