I have dealt with ingrown hairs for years and when I knew I was going to be moving out of NYC to UT I started reaching laser hair removal. I owed it to myself to just find a place that was the best of the best because I needed to make a serious change in order to gain back my confidence. I went in for a consultation in Spring of 2020 and it was quick and very informative. I decided to purchase a package of 13 sessions for my Brazilian bikini area. Within the first session I saw a dramatic change in the texture of the hair and the time frame it took for it to grow back. I believe my sessions were 6-8 weeks apart and I always did my best to keep my schedule going without any interruptions (even those Mother Nature ones). I was always given glasses to protect my eyes and never felt any pain. If you wax you can deal with the Zaps. It’s so quick! I spent the first 2-3 months using a bleaching cream (purchased at Elase) due to the hyperpigmentation I had from ingrown hairs. Once my skin evened up I had no more use for the bleaching cream and just continued to go in for my laser hair removal appointments. 4 years later and I have had baby who is now 15m old. I have noticed a little more hair growth which is due to the hormonal changes a women goes through during pregnancy and postpartum, but you still wouldn’t believe how little hair I have on my Brazilian area. Of course everyone is different (I’m Dominican- medium skin complexion and thick coarse hair). I have since left UT and now live in MD. Still blown away by my results that today I called Elase to get some guidance on what I should be looking for when deciding the right place for me to get touch ups at. I got to speak with the lovely Malina who took the time to educate me even though I was no longer a client. I am so grateful to these ladies for their kindness, professionalism, and I will be the first client at the door should there be a new Elase location in...
Read moreMy entire experience has been wonderful thus far. From the start of my consultation to now my upcoming fifth laser treatment. I am medium skinned toned with an olive undertone, and have thick wavy hair. I had been waxing for 3 years and never was able to adjust to the pain or the ingrown hairs. I started getting ingrown hairs as a result of waxing, and started waxing as a method to prevent itchy regrowth from shaving. As an individual who has shaved, waxed, and is currently being treated all over my Brazilian area (inner butt area included,) I strongly recommend Elase. The staff is outstanding, beyond professional, and ever so knowledgeable about their lasers and in store products. Gina is amazing! She has done my treatments, and ever since I have only been shaving 1-2x in between every 6 weeks. My ingrown hairs were completely gone after the 3rd treatment and I have not had any since. I was left with dark spots and Gina recommended a cream that I was able to purchase in store and 6 weeks later the dark spots are pretty much gone. I am able to see that even skin tone appearance that I hadn’t seen in years. I have so much confidence when wearing a bikini because I don’t have to worry about dark marks or bumps from shaving or ingrown hairs from waxing. Whenever I am in the sun I wear an spf of at least 70, and sometimes 100. It’s so important to protect yourself and limit your sun intake during your treatments. Lastly, I want to stress that each person will have different results, and I was told that laser wouldn’t give me a super smooth appearance due to my hair type, but that was not the case for me. My skin is hairless, even, and smooth. A special thank you to Gina, for all of her advice and work, and Elase for their...
Read moreMy laser hair removal treatments have worked amazing so far! I’ve done lip and brow, and underarm. I’ve always struggled with thick, dark hair ever since I was thirteen years old. I’ve been doing lip and brow for almost a year, and now I hardly see or grow any hair anymore on my lip and in between my eyebrows. I started my underarm treatments at a later date, and the hair is so thin now and takes a long time to grow, occasionally even falling off. The treatments aren’t very painful, and if it feels too hot, they’ll turn down the intensity or turn up the air. If it’s your first time or if you have sensitive skin, I recommend buying numbing cream like Lidocaine and applying it to the area you’re about to get lasered before you go. They have wipes there so you can wipe it off, and it will still be numb enough for the treatment. Some areas are more sensitive than others, so it’s good to be prepared just in case. The people who work there are great, and I rarely have to wait long. There have been times I’ve shown up five minutes early and they’re ready for me. I also have the nicest technician, Hailey. She always greets me by name, asks me how i’m doing, and remembers every conversation we have. Overall, it’s a good experience and the results are great. I’d say it’s well worth the money, and they also have great deals depending on the time...
