The bike shop is fraud. Returning my bike with the dropper post partly down/ adjusted the seat, resulted into breaking the inside mechanics when raising, they told me it was at the 'end of its life' and that I needed a new one. I did some research and called around, and that is false. The most a dropper post will need is a "rebuild service". I asked them to please take a look before we think about buying a brand new one. Then they spent a half a day trying to figure it out and told me he would give me a discount from the "hourly rate" which would have been $500. Then when I went to go get my bike, the dropper post was going up extremely slow, like they didn't even test it. Then they suggested again, "I should probably just buy a new one" and Lindsey (the store manager) told me it just needs to "break in a little bit". Then I took it to a different bike shop and they fixed it in a half hour for $25. All they needed to do was adjust the Air Valve. Then when I told them that. They got all offended and said they aren't working on my bike anymore. The guy was literally watching Youtube videos for hours trying to figure it out. Like I'm paying to train him. No wonder he tried to sell me a new one.
My bike also was creaking really bad after they gave it back to me, and when i asked if they could maybe look at it, Lindsey said "sounds like you are just trying to find another problem". Very disgusting to accuse a customer of that. Because it wasn't true. I ended up chasing the creak myself and fixing it myself.
And on my other bike I came in for a new chain. The girl chased me out of the store and told me I need to 'adjust my front and back derailleur'. I said "sure", it annoyed me because it seemed fine, and she told me that after looking at my bike for 30 seconds. But I took her word, and spent the extra $50. got on my bike and it couldn't even shift in the biggest ring. Again, took it to a real bike shop and they fixed it for $25. and it was good after that.
From ordering the wrongs parts multiple times, getting scammed into extra services, getting offended when suggesting any refunds, like they are some small bike shop just trying to get by, to the poor, unfunctional service results. I'd give lower than one star if I could. Go somewhere else for bike services. Thanks

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI can't help but be sad with my experience with the customer service. This was my first time in this store and the vibes were amazing, at the beginning. I went for the ONLY thing I needed, which was a harness. I went to check out, with my one thing and the man behind the counter was nice at first. I was ready to pay and the man asked me "What is the number for your membership?" Now, I don't know if you have ever been to a store with memberships, but everywhere I have been it is a "Do you have a membership with us?" Now, I totally understand getting the phrasing wrong. I work in a place where it is work, work, work non-stop. You are bound to make mistakes. When I told him I did not have a membership, this man looked both emotionally and physically distressed with me not having one. He goes on about how great the membership is and I am just standing there uncomfortably because he seems upset with me. He asks if I want to pay an extra 30 dollars for this membership and when I had said no, his frown had sinked a little deeper. Instead of leaving feeling satisfied about my purchase, I left feeling like I owed this random man a profuse apology. I really wanted to go back in and ask for a refund, but I am not a Karen and I never want to be one. This feels like a sort of manipulation that I never want to feel in a place where I am spending my money. I hope it was a misunderstanding and we can...

I approached from the side, and . . . they had walled off the entire shoe section with awkwardly placed merchandise? It wasn't even clear it was a wall until I had forced my way through it. At that moment I realized "Oh they want me to walk through their approved shoe section entry where they have an employee stationed."
The employee was looking at me. At that point, I felt really uncomfortable being there, so I left the shoe section completely. I went to the front to pick up a package we had ordered online, and there I encountered another wall made of awkwardly-placed merchandise. I couldn't walk to the cashier desk in a straight line; they wanted me to walk around--through their approved que path--even though there was no one in line and hardly any one in the store. Again, I didn't know this was a wall until I had awkwardly made my way through it. I felt embarrassed as employees were watching me figure this out.
Bottom line: this store feels controlling in weird ways. It made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I plan to shop elsewhere...
