For a fast casual stop I'm not sure how you can ask for more. We hit the Vessel up in the Sugarhouse area years ago and are sooo happy to see this one a touch closer to home. Good and bad I suppose as we have and will continue to hit this great stop far more frequently.
The options are abundant and all try and aim to the healthy side of eating. All in all I think they do a great job on hitting their mark!
The flavors and combinations there of are dynamite! They rotate seasonal and other specials to keep the options fresh and ever changing.
I've never eaten there and left feeling, "unzip your pants at Thanksgiving", kinda full or bloated. I always feel fueled and ready to go, no nap needed.
I'll give you some of the items I've tried. I'd recommend any and all of them as they are all unique in their presentation, flavors and enjoyment. I won't be the best reference on the specifics of each dish as I almost always just ask employees what their favorites are and go with that. Often just saying "Make whatever you'd eat and that's what I want."
The signature tacos I know I've had all except the falafel.
The hash hash, poke tuna, chicken and grains, good and plenty have all been had and again was equally as impressed with each and every one.
Other items I review but do not score on but are relevant to some: Environment is very modern and clean lines but feels quite sterile. Also the location in the winter is often too cool for enjoyable dining temperatures. Service is always friendly and efficient with food being delivered to your table and self service clean up as you walk...
Read moreYum! My husband and I tried this place out and I'm very happy we did. He got the Med 6.0 bowl/plate and I got the High Tide bowl/plate. We both got the warm naan on the side. The naan was a small piece but for $1.50 extra I should have expected the smaller size honestly. The fried pita strips that came with my husband's plate were delicious. He liked his food, especially the falafel but felt like the sides that came with it would have been better served hot instead of cold. I got the High Tide plate which said it came with trout but I got a piece of salmon unexpectedly. Wasn't upset about it because I definitely prefer salmon over trout but not sure what happened there (thanks for the reply Vessel kitchen! I've only had other types of trout so I didn't realize steelhead tasted and looked so similar to salmon! It was great and much better than other types of trout I've had before!). The spaghetti squash and cider slaw that came with it were delicious and I loved the green sauce on top. Prices felt right for the dishes and I love that this is a "fast food" place. They have stainless steel cups for drinking water and even "real" silverware to reduce plastic use which is great. Lovely food, quick dine and didn't feel like we had to add some ginormous tip like so many places expect for doing the bare minimum lately. This place feels fresh and much needed. We will...
Read moreI have sat in the restaurant, gotten take out, and they've catered to my work for lunch. The food is always exceptionally flavorful and I feel good about eating it! The na'an tacos are phenomenal and beautiful looking too. The poke bowl was to die for (raw fish in Utah can be hit or miss, but the tuna tasted perfectly fresh). For catering I had their cauliflower, broccoli, Brussel sprouts, braised beef, and Israeli Pico. It was all very tasty, aesthetically interesting, and a small amount left me satisfied and feeling full. The Fresno Aioli and the Peruvian Green Sauce are my favorite. Service has been timely and kind each time I've been there. My take out orders are always ready to go and packaged cleanly. The restaurant itself is clean, modern, and well-lit. A very refreshing place in...
