I used to really love this place, but the female security guard really put a bad taste in my mouth recently, and now I just have negative feelings going back.
Over the last few months, their purchasing policies have changed repeatedly. I normally buy infused joints, I used to be able to order 28, then it was 7. I used to be able to shop at each location multiple times, then you could only shop each location once per day, and then most recently they switched it to only shopping one store out of the entire network per day.
Fine, if they had been polite in explaining this I would’ve understood because I know they’re just trying to stay out of trouble. But the previous time I was there, the store staff specifically told me I could come back multiple times and just ask for a “guest check out“ and it wasn’t a problem (probably before the latest policy change, but that was the last I had been told).
However, when I went in there the latest time and asked to do that, the lady security guard literally got super mean, raised her voice super loud in front of everyone, hands on hips just saying over and over that they weren’t going to serve me and I needed to leave, and really embarrassed me. Instead of just being polite and calm and explaining that the policy had changed, she treated me like a crack addict that was there to rob the store, even though I kind of had tears in my eyes from embarrassment and was just confused cause I was following the guidelines the staff had previously given me, and was trying to get her to just calm down and understand why I was confused, rather than treating me like a meth head or a scammer in front of the whole store.
I was a regular customer, I always tip well, I’m always friendly and never cause trouble or give drama, and never go in with a bad attitude.
But after her little power trip and embarrassing me unnecessarily when I was literally just doing what her staff had previously told me to do, I am honestly insecure and feel too embarrassed to go back.

I live not far from the other locations in Eastside Tacoma, but I come to this Fife location (flagship store) because the bud-tenders are really amazing with their customers service & bud knowledge. I leave feeling happy every time!! (I do go to the other locations, but if I'm already in the area, I rather choose Fife.) 😊
Ook: RECENT UPDATE!! [October 30th, 2024] I stopped by this place today and after showing my DL's, I was informed to tell my budtender that my bday was just the other day & I can get a bday discount. Kerri was my budtender & instructed me on how to redeem the discount. Did what he said and ... Waalaah!! $15 off my purchase!! AND...!! (most importantly) ..Kerri helped me find a few (five 🫢) different strains I felt curious about & I (as usual) walked out a suuuuper happy customer. Normally I would give this place 5 stars. Here's the deal. I recently had a routine out patient procedure that went bad. I ended up being rushed to Good Sam where I stayed for the next 4 days because they got stomach acid in my lungs and I ended up with severe pneumonia. My birthday was yesterday, 20% discount for birthday. I placed an online order for some edibles to ease the pain and so forth. Wrote in the special instructions that my wife would be picking up my order since I am sick. The store would not honor my birthday discount even though I had written them and explained my situation because I was not there in person and my wife offered a copy of my ID.
