My wife and I stayed here for a couple days after Christmas in 2020. The property was still decorated with lights and it still felt like it was Christmas. We checked in and found our way to our room and decided a nap was in order. The room was nice and it was clean, which is very important to my wife and I. Later that evening we had dinner at the hotelâs restaurant. I can honestly say that the restaurant doesnât match the reputation of the hotel. The food wasnât even close to good. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium rare and it came out well done, the waiter said âI shouldâve told you not to get the steak, itâs not good hereâ. I appreciated him being transparent with us about the food. This was the only downside to our trip, the restaurant could be the best place in town if they invested in a better chef and better food. This was disappointing.
Hereâs where things got really good, we met Theresa our first evening while sitting in front of the fire place. She is one of the most genuinely kind human beingâs my wife and I have every met. As my wife and I sat and drank in front of the fire place, we got to know about Theresa and her love of photography, she was the highlight of our trip. I canât remember how we got on the topic of our room but she ended up moving us to a nicer room with a fire place and a beautiful view of the back of the property, just because:-). Our second night was another night of drinking by the fire place while having good conversation with Theresa. She deserves increased responsibility and recognition for the dedication she has to her position at the hotel, we would go back just to see her again!
Overall, we give this hotel a 4/5 stars. The restaurant was a complete let down and while people may eat there and the hotel makes money off of the guests who donât care about quality, that doesnât change the fact that itâs lacking in several areas. This hotel probably turns a profit with no problem but profit doesnât mean anything if you donât take action on constructive feedback. I donât want to stay anywhere else in Flagstaff but the...

We were assigned a second floor room, facing the hotel exterior, in âLodge 4.â This was located far from the hotel entrance, a quiet setting with some background freeway noise.
Our room was spacious, well appointed with exceptional attention to detail. Room furnishings included a clothes steamer, Keurig coffee maker and assorted âpodsâ & sweeteners, slide out refrigerator and safe for valuables, real glass drinking glasses, bedside and desk lamps which had light bulbs bright enough to use for reading. The pen on the desk was new, packaged in plastic - remarkable!
The writing desk and headboards were fashioned from rustic Pine (no doubt from earlier years in Flagstaff). Authentic Northern Arizona atmosphere.
Beds and pillows were very, very comfortable. Furnishings included a spacious couch (of sure if this converted into a bed, but given the presence of sealed extra bedding, likely it did).
Our room had a sliding door, in perfect working order, along with a screen, exterior lighting and balcony.
Bathroom was extensively covered with handsome marble panels.
The only possible room negative I could see involved the spacious bathtub, at floor level, requiring a +/- 20â step-in. However, a âanti-slipâ tub bathmat was provided, along with a terrycloth exterior bath mat.
I am quite sure handicapped rooms at Little America Flagstaff have step-in tubs, given the attention to detail at this property.
Hallways and entrances clearly marked, elevator in top condition. Carpets in public areas in top condition, decor tastefully designed.
Throughout our stay, staff were consistently friendly, attentive and helpful.
Enjoyed our stay at Little America. Very comfortable, conveniently located, in exceptional condition. We will definitely...
Read moreStayed here on two occasions in June and overall impression is it's a nice resort type hotel in terms of room and facilities but service could use improvement. ||We had a standard queen room both times and it's spacious, bathroom has two sinks one in and one out so yconvenient for two people sharing. The pool is a roundish shape but large enough to swim some laps when there aren't a lot of children there. There are four 2 level inter connected buildings and #4 being the furthest away from the lobby - you can park your car (parking is free) close to any building but it's a bit of a walk on foot. Location is a bit out of town not walking distance to downtown Flagstaff. ||Rating it a 3 star due to service. On a day when they don't seem to be full they still wouldn't accommodate a late check out by just an hour (at noon instead of 11 am) which I didn't think would have made any difference to them but would have made a huge one for us. Then there is the breakfast. Nice dining room and all, but service was slow and the food came lukewarm, this at a time when it was early and hardly anyone in the dining room. And in addition to that, I had tea and it came in a tea pot with one weak tea bag, and as I like my tea strong I asked for another tea bag in the same pot and was told I'd be charged a second pot of tea ($5). This kind of stinginess just doesn't befit the seeming stature of such a hotel. And finally, the teacup they gave me had a long crack in it - I discovered it when i saw the saucer filing up with tea and didn't think I spilled any in it. The crack was old and stained, not a new one, so it was shocking that no staff had noticed it for this long and cared enough to not continue using it. Let's just say I'd never encountered broken cups like this in lesser priced motels. For this trip to Flagstaff I also had a two-night stay in another hotel downtown and other than the swimming pool, it was much better value and more comfortable with more helpful staff - and no...
