Maharaja Grocery — Attraction in Florence

Unfortunately I had a pretty upsetting experience here today. I used to shop here more frequently in the past for things like saffron but when I found out they carry the brand of henna cones I like I went back last week. That time the older gentleman helped me and it was a pleasant experience. I purchased a small and a large cone which are clearly 2 different prices, which is funny because when I went back today the young man was the only one in the store. Well, he tried to charge me the price of a large cone for a small one (I watched him type in the price as $3.99 when last time I purchased it was $2-something) and when I called him out on it because that wasn't the price last week he doubled down on the lie. It's really sad because I really enjoyed this local shop but now they've definitely lost my trust and I WILL be letting my friends who shop here...

Workers are nice, even the counter lady will help you find what you need for certain recipes. my family and i wanted to branch out and eat something that we didn’t usually, safe to say to that due to their help we can make it right and it will taste at least good. Thanks for the help, we will be back to buy more from this store and try more foods. Due to their help we feel comfortable eating out of our comfort zone of foods. very nice organized store, smells literally so good in store, and workers are nice, a DEFINITE recommendation for anyone wanting to eat or make something Indian or maybe even just geht rice...

I am so happy to have this store in Florence. My wife and I just visited and the owners are so super friendly and make you feel welcome. Even though they are busy they will stop and chat with you like family. They are a younger couple but know their business well. The place is very neat , clean, and organized. It is pretty big. We bought some fresh vegetables and other grocery items. We will be back soon. Oh, it is near Harbor Freight tools...
