Loved the park itself. Very clean, and a lot of great play equipment for kids young and old. I'm visiting from out of town and wanted to bring my kids to a few parks in the surrounding area and although the park is great, clean, and well kept. I did notice and was very confused to see a chemical truck spraying pesticides while children were still at play. These are cancerous chemically that have also been known to kill not only mosquitos and bugs, but bees and birds. Although mosquito control is necessary, maybe you guys could do it once the park is closed and all visitors have left. We were there up until about 8:15, and the guy started the spraying pesticides about 8 ish, all where the children were playing and around the parked vehicles, so we left as soon as we saw this. My son has asthma, bad allergies that he takes medication for, and a rare condition, I would have hated for him to have some kind of reaction to God knows what type of chemicals that were being spray. Other than that, The park was enjoyable, but maybe you guys should think about the effects of what you are spraying and maybe just do it at a later time once...
Read moreWe love this park, my only complaint I have is that’s it’s always so packed because everyone else loves this park too. Ha! We have been taking our babies here since well.. they were babies. They have progressed through the different levels of play equipment as they have grown, but we really appreciated the baby-toddler area when they were younger because no one else seemed to have an area like that around geared just for that age group. It gave them a chance to fully play without worrying about older kids accidentally hurting them. I do wish there was a little more shade over the tables in the tower area because during the summer it is bright and blazing out and it’s hard to enjoy a picnic there. We do absolutely adore this park though! Good job city...
Read moreMy children and I have visited this park throughout the years. It’s always clean with clean bathrooms and vending machines with cold drinks and snacks for the kids. The play grounds are shaded with plenty of seating for parents to take a load off while keeping an eye on your little ones. And if you like to be active or play tennis; they have a nice track around the park with exercise stations along the path or tennis courts for practice or recreation. It’s located near the Library, Fire Station, and gas station. They have several events hosted at the park throughout the year. The chilli cook-off and Annual Christmas light display are...
