Chicken Salad Chick — Restaurant in Flowood

With any restaurant try it yourself and take this review with a grain of salt. Who knew chicken salad could be so diverse.... And expensive. My first time trying this restaurant, probably last. I'm not a fan of chicken salad and we've had these in Alabama for years. First one in the Jackson area and the girlfriend wanted to try it. Got "the chick" and chose the one with blue cheese (blue Betty?) with a side of broccoli cheese soup. Opted for the scoop so I could taste the salad itself. Little to no blue cheese. My girlfriend tried a bite and also asked where the blue cheese was. She got a signature sandwich with I guess the fancy Nancy? She had to go to McAllister's the next day to get a good (in her opinion) chicken salad sandwich.

Pros: seemed a light healthy alternative to other fast food. Staff was friendly and on point. Restaurant was clean and well lit.

Cons: food was bland. Price was a bit higher for the amount of food you get.

Sidenote: The salads really do have silly names. I understand it tries to evoke a old time southern charm. That may alienate some customers though. Also I'm pretty sure most of the employees don't ever want to hear fancy Nancy...

I absolutely love csc, but today it had to be the worst I have ever had. I ordered a pound of the fruity Fran and a large side of pasta salad and a large side of grape salad. The chicken salad had 3 whole grapes, two tiny pieces of apple, and two pineapple tidbits which left it with only a flavor of mayo. The pasta salad was very dry but the best part of the purchase. I was most disappointed with the grape salad. Out of the large grape salad, there may have been a total of 6 grapes that were not mushed, brown or to the point of about to rot. It was also very watery in the container. $38.00 is a lot to pay for food when part of it has to be thrown away. I'm hoping today was just a bad day. I don't know if this food was prepackaged in the cooler and maybe needs to be checked/trashed more frequently or something. Surely someone didn't make grape salad with grapes that looked like this. Also, please add more ingredients to you chicken salads like you use to and dressing to the pasta salad. Csc has always been amazing,...

Im a loyal customer and come 2-3 times a week. My kids LOVE Chicken Salad Chick but I don’t know what’s going on with them lately. Here recently it’s a hit and miss if your food is going to be made correctly. I got a southwest sandwich and it barely had chicken salad on it. It was on the edges of the inside of the bread, almost like they took a small spoon and put it on there. I walked to the counter and told the lady and she looked at me like I was stupid and wrong for asking for a WHOLE scoop on my sandwich like I know it’s supposed to be. The kitchen laughed at me and made me feel so uncomfortable to the point I didn’t even eat. They made it into a “thing”! the cashier walked to the window just to see what I said and then promptly looked over at me with a snarky face. This place is going downhill It is going down hill.
