We had several issues with the front desk and Breakfast staff at this hotel. I booked this hotel thru an App on my phone in route to hotel. . Everything was confirmed and when I checked in their were no issues. The room was ok and clean. Nothing special. We were told that breakfast was until 10am so we went down at 9:30am and the staff was cleaning up and mostly everything was gone! They had not replenished anything. We had to ask for milk for our cereal and were given some with a scowl on the staffs face like it was a real imposition! Very rude behavior! If the staff is not going to replace anything then they should inform customers that breakfast is open until 10am or until everything is gone! Not cool! |So then we go to check out- and they inform me that my room was NEVER PAID for? I show them my Payment & Confirmation, but they kept telling me they did not receive it! They want me to keep my reservation open and call them later after contacting the third party on the App. I told them I was not going to leave until it was resolved cause I’m not leaving my acct open with them. They finally told me they had to redo my reservation and recharge me…. So I said fine- just get me out of here, cause I need to leave! Well they did recharge me SEVERAL TIMES! I had to contact my credit card company when I got home, cause not only did my statement show the original charge- but several new charges from them as well! Read moreThe only problem I had was the breakfast was not very good & the GM Maria was not the best. We got locked out of our room (not our fault). We went to breakfast and came back for my 8 month olds medication and our key wouldn’t work. We went to the front desk and Ms Lynne made us a new key. That key would not work. She came up with the master key and it didn’t work. She called maintenance and we had to wait on them to get there. An hour later he finally got there and got the lock on the door changed so we could get in. We called to see if there was some kind of discount they could give us for having to wait and being behind on my kids medication and they told us this was no rare occurrence for them and we would not be discounted…this should not be normal nor acceptable for any hotel. If this is normal you should have a 24/7 maintenance man on site. It was explained to me that it is no different than someone locking their keys in their car. Sometimes it happens. The only problem with that statement is if I locked my keys in my car that’s my fault but if I pay 3 digits for a hotel stay at minimum I expect to be able to access my assigned room from the moment of checkin to checkout and every time in between as I feel necessary. Read moreWhen I hear Hampton inns I expect to feel like I am in the Hamptons as that was what the hotel chain was to reflect. Instead I can see they tried to make it like that, but fell well short of the mark. It feels like a new renovation but they reused all the old furnishings to fill out the rooms.
The desk is broken, the chair is old and worn, the shower curtain is yellowed and seems it came from an older hotel. The TV stand/refrigerator/dresser is dinged and worn out. The tub spigot feels like it's about to pull right out of the wall. It feels....lazy or they don't care.
The service is lacking, no welcome feeling, no offering of a cool bottle of water when I first arrived in a 91° heat until I asked for it....This is the first hotel that charged me upfront on my corporate card so as I don't cancel my reservation and go elsewhere?
The worst is that I gave up a king suite for a high floor and away (very far away) from the elevator instead they put me right next to the elevator. When I mention it, they move me two doors down from the elevator and pretend they did me a favor. The room smells like a cat urinated all over the room. After a long drive I'm too tired to change rooms again....as a silver member a few stays away from Gold, I will definitely not come back here.
