Can you give them a negative 4 star? Absolutely horrible experience. Purchased a bed for a client which needed to be returned. Fortunately the bed I purchased is referred to as a "green" bed. I guess that means that it was expensive enough that they would give you the honor of being able to return it. Catch phrase "return" it. actually means you can exchange it for a different bed. Buyer beware....they're like a dog to a bone. They are NOT going to let go of your money once it's in hand! So, I had to purchase "pay" for a new bed and schedule the pick up of the old bed before they would issue a credit back from the first bed I bought. Hmmmm, now they have $8,000 of my money and trying to get the new bed delivered and the old one picked up was a living nightmare. Excuses were oh, we're sorry, our system is wrong.....we don't actually have the bed you just paid for and we can't deliver it until the 1st week of September. Well, that date came and went and shocker.....they can't get us on the schedule. It will be another week. Finally, they made the delivery last week on Tuesday, the 7th and picked up the old mattress and box spring. I'm still waiting on the credit back of nearly $3,000. Was told it would be issued as soon as the items were back in the warehouse which should have been Tuesday evening. Well, nothing was credited by Friday so I called and spoke with a manager that assured me that it would be taken care of by the end of the day Friday. SHOCKER.... here we are on Monday morning, the 13th of September and still nothing is credited nor is a credit pending. FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO SHOP PEOPLE! UNLESS YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AND DON'T MIND BEING A BANK FOR THEM....GO AHEAD AND KEEP SHOPPING THERE. GIVE THEM THE FLOAT ON YOUR MONEY FOR FREE. Certainly there's other options. Do yourself a favor and find someplace else to spend your money. I suspect I'll get a call from the owner, Cathy or someone else claiming to be so sorry for the bad experience I've had. ...
Read moreIt’s taken me 3 weeks to write this because of how traumatizing this experience was… We had bought a 700$ coffee table from baer and opted out of the 79$ delivery to pick it up ourselves at the warehouse. The gentlemen at the store emphasized that we should inspect the coffee table before taking it home. My boyfriend went to pick up the table and stated that they warehouse guys brought it out upside down when the box had clear markings “this side up”. Anyways, they opened the box and he looked at it but did not take it out of the box. We get it home and it’s very wobbly. So I call and state the issue and the lady on the phone says they will send someone out Tuesday to replace it. No one comes. I call back and they state basically “not sure why you were told that, we don’t replace items that were picked up at the store, i suggest calling the store you bought it from”. So we did. They said we could come and get the floor model. So we load the table up in our car and take it to baer. Here, we had to take the floor model that was on the second floor (there’s no elevator) and maneuver it around all the furniture in the store to get it downstairs. THEN we had to take our BROKEN coffee table up the stairs, maneuver it around all the furniture and put it where the floor model was. We kindly obliged because we just wanted a non-broken coffee table, considering we paid 700 dollars!! But if this is the kind of return/exchange policy they have I highly suggest going somewhere else for...
Read moreUpdate: I was originally pleased with my purchase. I ordered a custom fabric recliner and sofa. It took 6 months to get it. After 3 months of normal wear it looks tired. The fabric slips and I'm constantly adjusting the cushions. And the seat cushions have not held up at all - they are completely bottomed out on the recliner. These two pieces from Huntington House were very expensive and they look like Rooms to Go now. I called because I had a year warranty and the guy who came to the house was rude, dismissive and totally ignored me - he said the company would probably do nothing. And he was right. I would never purchase another thing at Baer's. The store manager called me and said he would talk to the Owner and they never called back. I wish I had purchased anywhere else.
We worked with a designer named Ron Gooze and he was great to work with - very knowledgeable and helpful and patient. We custom ordered a sofa and chair in February 2021 and it was delivered today, September 7, 2021. The delay was due to COVID - which was unpleasant, but seeing the end product today - well it was worth the wait. The scale of the pieces and the fabric are just beautiful. We both suffer from arthritis and we had to try out a lot of chairs and sofas before we made our final selection. We are very pleased with the results! I would recommend...
