MH2G Furniture - Fort Lauderdale — Attraction in Fort Lauderdale

This is the first time I have ever written a review of any kind. Please take the time to read this positive review I am a luxury home builder who furnishes many homes in Marco Island. When it came time to furnish my home I was looking for a more modern look. I had very large order with City furniture and cancelled it upon working with the designer Mercedes at the Ft Lauderdale location making new selections. We furnished the entire home on the phone using face time and the website including wall art and accessories. This order was a high 5 figure amount Mercedes was instrumental in the design of the furnishings and helping coordinate the look I was going for. She never pushed items on me but took the time to show me actual items I was looking at on line. I placed the order that same morning and it arrived just 2 days later complete and undamaged. to tell you just how efficient I wanted to add outdoor furniture and sent her a text at 1:00 am as I did not have her email at home. She went into work on her day off and got the added items on the same delivery truck. If you don't know this it is highly unusual to get a furniture store to move that quickly. Note I am on the west coast of FL far away. Today I needed to add a dresser that I was not sure would fit the room. She took the order and spoke with the Manager Tim to help me get just 2 pieces delivered across the state again. Tim informed me he wanted to make sure I was completely satisfied with MH2Go and helped me with the delivery with an added surcharge I told him was fine if it was possible to bring only 2 pieces. Tim charge me far less than I expected for the added service. I cannot tell you enough about how Mercedes and Tim went far and above to satisfy my every need. Note upon arrival of the furniture everything came undamaged, 2 trucks and 4 men arrived and when the 2 men in the first truck were finished unloading and assembly they stayed to help the other 2 men finish so they could all get back across the state in a timely manor. I give the entire team at MH2Go my highest recommendation possible. Again I have never written a review for anyone in my career and have designed, constructed and decorated over 300 homes in Marco Island. I will recommend Mercedes to all of my customers as...

Modern Home 2 Go nightmare! #mh2g

I paid about $2000 for this Amalfi table in April 2021. On October 2, 2023, minutes after getting up from that table, the tempered glass exploded for no known reason! It was shocking! I can’t even guess what happened. I was using my laptop, actually checked it to make sure it wasn’t hot or something because that was honestly the only thing I thought it could be but it wasn’t hot. There were no chips or breaks in the glass prior to the explosion. The chairs around the table were made of teak so it’s not like a metal chair bumped into the glass causing damage.

Hundreds of pounds of glass went everywhere!

I have never heard of something like this happening but a friend of mine told me that he has heard of it & that it’s an unexplainable phenomena.

I have 5 rescue dogs, was leaving town the next morning on a business trip, & thank God I was able to prevent them from walking through that glass & getting shards of tiny pieces of shattered glass stuck in their paws. It took about 4 hours to clean it up. It was a traumatic experience to say the least.

I reported it to Robert who filed the claim, which was quickly denied, & then I called Daniel after getting no response to find out why I didn’t get so much as a phone call back about it! Apparently a denial email for the claim was emailed directly to me but I never received it so he resent it.

I asked him if they were going out of business because that would be the only logical reason why the owners didn’t even pick up the phone or offer to replace the $200 glass top. I have never ever experienced something like this in my life. It’s almost 2 weeks later & I’m still finding pieces of glass.

We live in Boynton Beach Florida. There aren't that many modern furniture stores except in Boca Raton, which is not far from us. I looked up "modern furniture" on the web and saw several stores in Fort Lauderdale. After perusing the various websites I decided that our first stop had to be at Modern Home 2 Go (MH2G) because of the myriad of beautiful furniture at reasonable prices. When we walked into the store we were struck by the many choices and they were all compatible with our refined and classy tastes. After a short while we were greeted by a very pleasant and cheerful designer/furniture representative named Mercedes. We needed a lot of help because we just bought a new house and we will be furnishing every room. It didn't take long for Mercedes to know our tastes (simple and sleek lines) and started suggesting tables and chairs and a couch that suited us. Mercedes was spot on. She also helped us with measurements so that what we were ultimately choosing would fit into our rooms, of which I had the dimensions. Mercedes made things go so seamlessly for us. We couldn't believe how smoothly the process of choosing was going. Mercedes even suggested that we don't clutter our heads with the smaller items, but to concentrate on the immediately important furniture. She was right and it made the task of decision-making so much easier. When it came time to making the payment Mercedes suggested that we apply for Synchrony Bank Credit Card so that we could take advantage of the 0% APR/24 month program. It certainly worked in our favor. Not only is Mercedes pleasant, cheerful, friendly, customer-service oriented, but she is also a great sales person and a talented designer. We are so happy with our purchases and feel so lucky to have had Mercedes serve us. It's not over. We are coming...
