Iām changing my review at this location because clearly they are in desperate need of more workers and some better management here.
Since theyāve opened I havenāt been able to use this facility like I thought that I would, because there always seems to be some sort of issue. I find myself at LA Fitness more where the staff are professional and organized. (I canāt wait for LA FItness to remodel so that they canāt compete with this incompetent establishment.) I went in today between 5:30-6:30pm to use the total body enhancement machine only to be greeted by several people standing at the front desk waiting for the blonde lady to get off of the phone.
Once she got off of the phone the two guys waiting before me asked her about the massage chairs and she immediately and very abruptly told all three of us to go upstairs because there should be someone already up there to help us⦠Only for us to get up there with no one to help. Finally, the girl with the glasses and pink braids came out of the tanning room, she seemed very overwhelmed, while still trying her best to make sure that we were all accommodated. When I was done using the total body machine I called downstairs to ask if they could turn on the hydro massage chair and the girl with the long black braids answered and AGAIN said that somebody should be up there. I told her that no one was upstairs. (So I guess they couldnāt turn the chairs or beds on from downstairs today.) They let some fat lazy guy take a nap on one of the hydro beds instead of asking him to get up so that it could be used. He was laying there for about 30 mins.
Then all of a sudden here comes the blonde lady marching up the stairs on her phone just pacing back and fourth having a conversation. She was to busy ignoring the customers and didnāt want to be bothered. I also didnāt want to be rude and interrupt her conversation but either way their attitude and behavior is just unprofessional and unacceptable. The mean girl with the longer black braids came upstairs while I was using the hydro massage. (she seemed mad that she had to wait to turn the beds on for the two other people waiting.) As I got up and walked away she gave me the most evil and hateful look ever. She obviously has some personality or mental disorder going on. She acted the same way during the grand opening party. Just weird !
After i left, I tried calling to ask for a manager and the guy Sid answered the phone and wasnāt helpful at all. He was a little rude and very evasive for whatever reason. He told me that he couldnāt give me the managers information, email or anything.
The womenās locker room is still kept fairly nasty for this gym to only have been open for a few months now. Floors are always dirty and need to be mopped, then the urine on the toilet seats is just disgusting.
At least LA Fitness has a bathroom attendant cleaning non stop. The dressing rooms are always dirty. I walked in one day a saw a customer scrubbing down the shower herself and I thought she worked there until she told me that she didnāt. Why should the customers have to bring their own cleaning supplies to clean the showers out. I really hate that Candy isnāt working here anymore. She seemed to be the only genuinely sweet person outside of one of the girls that works in the mornings. Just really a pure kind soul. This...

Within the last month or so the staff changed dramatically and these guys are always in your business and affecting your work outs nitpicking their clients over a myriad of very trivial things, particularly a gentlemen with dreads, itās become borderline harassment. Yet they canāt seem to hold people accountable for not cleaning up after themselves when they are done with equipmentā¦.Iāve seen several people working out in sandals/flip flops and very low cut shirts; but god forbid I have a bad day and didnāt realize what I was wearing when I tried to gain the courage to get myself there after a long day. When you need something they are off in a corner playing on their phones or walking around pretending/looking busy like they are doing something even though they are not doing a thing. The paper towels, spray bottles, and toilet paper dispensers are always empty. Would be good if they checked the bathrooms, the toilets are always a mess and I have to play janitor before I can use it. Oh and btw be careful to watch out for the many random buckets catching leaking water anytime it rains. I have several friends that have opted to drive the extra 10mn to Pompano to avoid the staff at this gym. I had a staff worker walk in on me in tanning room which they assign you to (granted i forgot to lock the door) but isnāt it good practice to knock before entering a closed door? Probably the most unfriendly planet fitness staff Iāve come across. The GM (I believe Shona/Shauna?) is grossly unfriendly and dismissive especially when you have an issue or concern such as the AC not working in the gym or bathroom, or toilet paper or soap being out. A āthanks for letting us know, we will look into itā and a smile is all most people are really seeking here. Not a rolling of the eyes, and told that there is nothing wrong with a rude dismissive comment under her breath. Sheās probably the worse customer service rep Iāve come across in a PF and she is the Manager!!? Been charged at least 4 times twice when purchasing items that they promised would eventually fall off and didnāt, then they told me I should just go to my bank, which in turn meant that my card got shut off and had to go a few days without a debit card. I donāt ask for much, just a friendly smile and leave me alone to work out. I clean up after myself, I donāt grunt or show off, put my stuff away, and leave everyone alone. This is not a properly functioning gym within the planet fitness brand, the culture here is VERY toxic. Go to another PF is my best recommendation. They do deep clean the machines which I guess is nice. The only other positives are the location due to convenience and the hybred red therapy...

No judgment zone is banging, people know the hardest part of training is just getting out your front door. Getting there, we get our mental blocks, we're all warriors in that sense. However, I would give planet fitness one star as far as the finances go. Here's my pet peeve with planet fitness membership fees. 1.cancel anytime, is obviously vague, because as a consumer, cancel any time; I would think, I could just go on the App, hit two buttons & cancel it. which you obviously cannot, so you can't cancel anytime you want, lol. You can cancel anytime you drive into the club & pay the cancellation fee $29 or $39(I'm not sure) Maintenance fees.. $49.00 if I'm correct. No heads up on that that, just brings into your account. Set my budget haywire. If you add it all up, including your maintenance fee & your cancellation fee, plus membership dues... It's an extra $6.50 a month ($120+$78=$198Ć·12=$16.50/mo. We can cancel on the month we opened the account but there's the cancellation fee.(again, if I'm correct I could be mistaken) So, last thing & I'll shut up. The consumer base of South Florida would appreciate it, if you're up front with everything in the ad. It would read something like this: $16.50 a month (seemingly the real cost) still half the price of LA.. no hidden fees, no unexpected maintenance fee, a true cancel anytime system, where one can go on their app; click 5 buttons & they're out. It seems like a bait and switch to me, if you tell me $10 a month, cancel anytime... I'm thinking I'm $120 per year. I can go on the app hit a button to "cancel anytime".. but that's not how it works! Also if you put it in the ad $16.50, you never have to worry about people complaining they don't or they weren't ready for any additional fees. Or say it's $10 per month, plus $78 additional fees. "Cancel, anytime" you can make it to the club in person. This way, nobody can say they don't know how it all works. Thanks for...
