Hey guys, had a pretty unpleasant experience here... Booked a body scrub and a 30 minute massage...
The girl (very sweet) who took my reservation, was also the same person who checked me in at the front desk, and also the same person who would be handling my services. I'm not sure she was massage therapy certified, but possibly!? Does only one person work at this expensive day spa?
When I booked the body scrub, I was told it would take a little less than an hour. Once I was directed to the room, I was provided a single (average sized bath towel) to "put atop myself" - no nice sheets, blanket, etc... just an average bath towel. I did the scrub... it lasted about 25 minutes, super average experience, more of a lather and you're done. Again, is the receptionist qualified to provide spa services as well? Pretty pricey at $90 + optional tip, for a 25 minute body scrub!
Was directed down the hall to the "shower" which was freezing cold and would not get hot. Similar shower room to the one at your local community pool, but with only cold water. What WAS above average however, was the size of the COCKROACH that joined me for my icy shower. I did show the maintenance person, who was also my receptionist, and masseuse, (still the same girl) and she mentioned that she'd let management know. Is she also management? Anyway - she agreed, the shower would not get warm. PS - no sandals were offered, so I used my own that I luckily wore to the appointment... No foot fungus or toe warts for me!
After my cold rinse, I was directed back to the same room where a new, maybe 5' x 3' towel was laid out for me to get beneath. At that point, I honestly felt like I'd given the place a fair shot and did not want to pay for the same girl to make an effort at a 30 min massage. I asked if I could end the appointment. She graciously agreed and offered to charge my card the $90 which I digress, I paid and ran out.
Overall, pretty dusty spot, with some slapdash drywall thrown together to create dinky treatment rooms on either side of a hallway. Would not recommend, certainly not for the price! Try Lifestream Spa or Casbah only 5 minutes North or East respectively! So many better options... No wonder they could take my last minute booking, especially because I did not see another sole in the place other than my trusty receptionist, masseuse, body scrubber, maintenance...

From the moment you arrive into the zen retail space, your tension begins to melt away. We were quickly escorted to the cozy couples room and Terron (AMAZING owner/operator) explained how the treatments would unfold and gave us tips for settling in for what was about to happen (sheer bliss, that's what!). Once settled, our massages began and the level of expertise and professionalism was quickly noted. My therapist was in tune with my requests and checked in just the right number of times to see how the treatment was going and made adjustments as necessary. Once the treatments concluded, we were not rushed out, but instead allowed to take some time to return to reality. This was all around a fabulous experience. May I also add that parking is complimentary and right in front of the spa - another perk indeed. This woman-owned business should be at the top of your list when choosing a spa. I absolutely cannot wait to go back and try something else from the extensive menu of services and options. Also, be sure to leave an email address so you will receive monthly specials and up to the...
Read moreSerenity Spa is immaculate and I love the bohemian chic vibe. The establishment is very conscientious of social distancing practices, keeping a safe and clean environment for both their clientele and staff, which I feel is very important during this pandemic.
I had a hydrofacial with Shirley, who was gentle with my skin yet very thorough. She communicated every treatment with me and conveniently had a very calming voice that only enhanced the experience.
I couldn’t believe what I got with my facial. I did upgrade to basically all add-ons but the quality of service and products can not compare to any other spa I’ve been to and at such a reasonable price.
My facial included:
My skin was glowing after and about 3 days later, the real magic happened. Even 2 weeks following, I can see the difference. I can’t say enough good things about my entire experience. I’m definitely making routine facials at Serenity Spa a part of my skin...
