Water Shuttle — Attraction in Fort Lauderdale

BEWARE! The same people who own the River House also run the water shuttles (formally pink and now blue) and the Anticipation Yachts. Our daughter's wedding was a couple of weeks ago and months before we booked their water shuttle to pick up 100 guests at Bahia Cabana dock and bring them to the wedding venue. A half an hour after the guests were supposed to be picked up, I received a call from a family member who said the boat was not there. Apparently, the boat broke and left my guests at the dock. No call was made to me until I reached out to them. The sales person was speaking with the owner who offered no alternative transportation, no attempt to rectify the situation and no other compensation except to credit back our credit card and say they were sorry. I threw out alternatives and they kept saying "we can't do that". In addition, I never received a response to an email I sent the day after the wedding and it wasn't until Tuesday when I sent another message, that I finally heard back from them. Their response was short and curt. I gave the company every opportunity to redeem themselves before writing this review. I guess they just wanted me to go away. I understand that things can go wrong but it's the lack of customer care I received that gave me insight into their corporate philosophy. The true test of a company's integrity is how a situation is handled when something goes wrong. THEY FAILED COMPLETELY! Beware! Do not buy online tickets for the water shuttle no matter the price. We had taken the water taxi on previous trips and it was fantastic. Unfortunately, there was no Groupon for it this time. We bought the Groupon for the Water Shuttle at about half the price of the water taxi but wasted our money. We waited for the water taxi at the third stop on the route. After waiting 45 minutes, there was no shuttle although the water taxi came and went. We called the number on the sign and in the brochure and no one answered and then we were hung up on. We finally got them only to be told that we should have called and said where we were waiting. No, you should not have to do that; the shuttle is supposed at each stop on the route. Then we were told that a shuttle had broken down and we would need to wait 45 minutes longer. We said we couldn't and that we had walked over a mile to get to that shuttle stop but they did not even offer us a ride back or compensation. They ruined our entire day. Much later in the day we watched a Water Shuttle go right past one of their route stops without even stopping. The Water Shuttle is poorly run and not dependable. Spend the money and take...

Same experience as another guest. My family of 8 boarded the water taxi and we felt as if we were forced off at one of the stops along the way, stop # 3 to be exact. We were told that we had time to explore and that they would return in about 1 hour. We were told that if we didn't catch that same taxi there would be another coming because they come Evey 20-30 minutes. My family and I arrived back at the pick up location (same location where we were let off at). We sat there waiting for well over 2 hours no pink water shuttle. There were plenty of other water taxi companies continuously arriving and departing. We asked some of the other companies if they could get in contact with our company and we were told that they were closed for the day. Countless phone calls went unanswered even the option for an emergency. Needless to say we had to find other transportation back to our hotel and that took hours. I only hope that the other couple that was there found...
