I've recently been to Revolution again for the first time since 2011, when I saw My Chemical Romance. The 2 shows bringing me back this year were the Circle Jerks and Descendents back in March of this year and the Aquabats, which was just last night! I really enjoy this venue! The back yard shows are on a spacious green and the bar in the back has glowing, eye-catching lights and a great view of the stage. The sound quality is fantastic, too! I love general admission concerts because I get to mosh and not break the bank over a specific "pit" section at a larger venue that usually has a separate ticket listing. Inside shows are great, too. The venue is dark like most clubs tend to be, which highlights the stage, of course. There is an upstairs section for a balcony view of the stage if you don't want to brave the pit and just want to chill and sip on a drink. The upstairs bar is available, too, but far more traffic visits the downstairs bar. I like that the pit is sectioned off into a dip in the floor that allows audience members to still look up at the stage instead of being even with it, and also gives space between people trying to have a more chill night and those of us who show up to mosh hard. I know this won't typically make or break if I go to a venue, but I really like how spacious and decently lit the bathroom is compared to other clubs I've gone to, where the bathrooms are tiny, dark, and dingy. The SoFlo punk scene has awesome people who look out for each other. Makes going to the shows a carefree blast! Looking forward to seeing Streetlight Manifesto in November.

Loveee this venue! Was a vendor here this past weekend for Goth Homecoming and they could not have picked a more apt venue. Plenty of space outside for vendors and food trucks. Lots of parking around and it was all well lit. Inside is so cool. It gave vampire vibes and reminded me of the Castle in ybor city- but better. There were multiple rooms through the building and 2 different stages. The biggest thing is that the venue is spacious, well AC'ed, and had lots to discover. It had an outside portion upstairs as well. You can also see the main stage from the second floor. There are a few bars located within the building. The bathroom had an attendant that worked almost like a convenience store because she had EVERYTHING. Wish we lived closer, would love to attend more cool events here.

It really does take one bad experience. I love the Black Market at this venue but whoever is running security here needs to fire at least one guy. We went through the second floor patio because last year battle of the bands voting was in that area. There was NO signage indicating we shouldn't go through. So me and my group walked in, another small group behind us. Some security guard immediately started screaming at us, accusing my boyfriend of trying to be "slick", and putting his hands on him to throw him out. He just kept screaming, like an absolutely sociopath. I tried talking to the other security guard nearby but the first guy was so riled up and I was chaperoning my teen cousin and trying to keep him safe so I wasn't able to get much of a word in. The first guy hauled us out and when I said he simply should have been polite, he just kept screaming DON'T GO WHERE YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO (without...a signage? To let us know?) This was bad enough but he pointed us out to the people at the front, still screaming at the top of his lungs. The front staff started barking to get out while I was trying to say, next time, just be polite. Seriously, be kind. We genuinely just wanted to know where the voting was. But he got the front security so riled up that we just left, again, mostly to keep my underage cousin away from the screaming security. This is unnecessary, it is threatening, and it's really gross behavior. Even more so at an all ages event where a MINOR was present. How lackluster is your security training that you don't understand to SPEAK to people first? How do you not understand deescalation techniques and you leave it to the frightened, paying patrons to modify the behavior of unhinged security guards? I don't particularly feel safe coming back to this venue. The alt scene in South Florida is a wonderful community, I hate to see it ruined by people like this. I hope this venue at least apologizes and addresses this behavior with the personnel. This is not how you treat another human being. Edit: for the record, Revolution Live ignored multiple communication attempts, including an Instagram DM and an email. Your safety is not a priority at this venue 🤷♀️ Which again, is sad, as the talent that's poured into it is truly special. I hope better venues pop out in time.

Boy, talk about living off of your old reputation. From what I saw last night, the place hasn’t seen a dollar’s worth of upkeep in the 30 years I’ve been going there. Filthy, $3 waters (+ tip), with no where comfortable to watch from unless you buy a bottle of Smirnoff for $300. Also, their production quality is down the toilet. The sound was badly mixed at times and they didn’t even bother to have anyone running the lights most of the show. Since ticket prices have gone from $15 to $60 in that time, you’d think they’d bother to reinvest in the stage setup, at least. A poor value, poor experience, and generally cheap and low effort. Guess we’ll just have to wait for the city to (officially) give the owners the One Stop Shop park site for next to nothing, in a crony deal that’s objectively bad for the city in the long run. Must be nice having the only 1200-person venue in Fort Lauderdale, and inside connections in the local government. You don’t even need to put a basic level of effort into your business to still make money if you know the right people, apparently.

Worst venue I’ve ever been to. Would not recommend. 90% of the employees were unhelpful and rude. Was here since 10am and no one else showed until 1pm. I paid at least a hundred more for other people to be let in before me. It was super unorganized. Mind you I have the best and FIRST entry ticket available. Venue workers lied and said the lower pack gets let it first. Spoiler alert they don’t (i’ve been to another show so I know how it works). Severely stressful when it doesn’t need to be. Give me a uniform and I’ll clock in and do what needs to be done. This isn’t even the first bad experience here either. There’s been several from people I’m close with. I’ve heard nothing but horrible things about this venue. I don’t know why I expected it to be any different.

I recently attended my first ever Horror Fest here to see the casualties and was blown away. Everyone from the staff to the vendors to black market was so friendly. Not only did I get invited backstage but I misplaced my prescription glasses somewhere along the way. I tried looking everywhere but with hundreds of people everywhere it was impossible. I reached out the next day to black market and they almost immediately responded back and even sent me a picture. To my surprise someone has turned them into lost and found. I picked them up today with no problem. Incredibly happy with the service and can't wait to come back for future festivals and shows to come. Highly recommend this place. They really try to keep everyone safe and entertained always!
