I been thinking for a few days if I should give my review or not but I have made a decision not to come back to this nail salon due to my most recent experience.A month ago I took a chance with booking with their newest nail tech because Natsuko is really hard to book with and I was in need seeing as it was almost 2 month since I was able to schedule with Natsuko. I was very displeased with the new tech and I let one of the owners know before I left but I just accepted it to keep the peace. Within a week every nail started to lift and snag to the point where they started to hurt. I waited about 2 weeks or so after this started and just dealt with it but then I had no choice but to reach out to get an emergency appointment which Natsuko could not do. I specifically asked for someone just as good as Natsuko and they put me on the manager Hinoki schedule. I expected some kind of accommodation seeing the severity of the nails that was completely evident which Hinoki was shocked and even went to see who it was that did my nails previously. I didn’t receive any accommodation for the nail disappointment and in fact when I went to pay Hinoki stood behind me and watched to see how much tip I was leaving and insist I leave her 20%. This was my first time allowing her to do my nails and since I felt they didn’t hold themselves accountable I left a lower tip then I normally would which was 15%. My basic nail with nude and cut down was $86. She insisted in front of other clients I tip 20% even after I completed the payment and I watched her not do that to anyone else who left before me. I felt pressured, uncomfortable and embarrassed. I asked her was it mandatory and the receptionist stated no but Hinoki continued to insist even asking for Cash. I never experienced anything like this. Sadly, I will miss Natsuko even tho it’s hard to get an appointment with her but how the business is operated with me being a business owner myself , I can’t support a place not operating in integrity. I left feeling very uncomfortable and...
Read moreI have recently moved to New Jersey and have been on the hunt for a really nice nail shop, I am known to have really bad nail beds. They are very fragile and thin and for a while I was doing UV gel which absolutely damage my nail and the idea of having to drill the Layer off in order to remove UV gel was not appealing to me anymore. So when I came across the idea, I could soak them off fairly easy. The process only takes about maybe 5 to 10 minutes I became interested, and this place did not disappoint. You have to book an appointment in advance because they are pretty busy possibly because this is the only well-known Japanese gel place in New Jersey. My nails literally last me anywhere between 3 to 4 weeks And I work in the healthcare field, so no matter the amount of washes I do, Never cracks in my experience. It's unbelievable and the best thing I've definitely ever came across. The only reason I'm giving this place 4-star is because they need more employees lol so that we can get more appointments because it really is hard to come across an appointment. At least a little last minute, you cannot book pretty much the day before. Nancy and Saki are amazing nail tech and...
Read moreEditing my review from 10 months ago to reflect that I still go to Juun nails every month and the work continues to be impeccable. Please do not call for same day appointments! This is a small business run by two nail techs. They do everything including managing the bookings. It's very popular now and you must book weeks in advance. That said they should have hundreds of positive reviews by now.
