My girlfriend and I showed up 5 minutes before our movie was to start. I walked up to the window and said to the employee "two for Hereditary please". I grabbed the tickets and we walked in. We handed the tickets to the next employee and she pointed to the left and said "number 8". We walked in that direction and I glanced up at the display next to the snack stand and it said "8 Hereditary" as well as other movies showing down the corridor. We approached #8 and was a bit confused since it said "8 Ant-man". We shrugged our shoulders and went in and grabbed our seats. I looked at our tickets again to make sure the auditorium # and move title were correct, and they where. The price they charged me wasn't matinee price but I will have to take care of that after the movie. So, sum up what we know so far.... Employee directions - check Snack bar information. display - check Tickets - check Display just outside auditorium - wrong. We sit through numerous commercials and other boring adds. People are walking in and the place starts filling up. I thought to myself a few things "wow, this movie is still very popular!" And "what the he'll are all these young kids doing at this movie?". Sigh, moving on. The lights dim and the trailers kick in. Creed?! Disneys Nutcracker!? Dumbo?!! Hotel Transylvania 3?! Weird trailers to match up with a twisted scary movie. Oh, And the freeking sound!! It was so loud that the speakers behind the screen were distorting so bad I thought they would fly out of the screen. I like loud movies. But I was wincing at the ear piercing levels that they had this set at. Annd Ant-man started playing.... We get up and walk out of the auditorium :-( . We talk to the manager and find out they sold us tickets to see Hereditary for the next day around 11a.m.!! We just requested our money back and left frustrated. So many things didn't make sense about what just happened. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE! Sorry Coldwater Crossing for betraying you! It won't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHonestly this place in my opinion has gone so downhill over the years. Lets start from the beginning, first theres nobody in the front to pay for tickets at least not when I was there. It kinda looked like they had a automatic kiosk for tickets but I got my ticket online. Second they have nobody in the front even checking tickets. I had met up with some freinds in the lobby and orders some popcorn and a large icy it was only when I asked the concessions guy where my theater was that he asked to see me ticket and told me where my theater was. My other freinds wernt even asked to see their tickets so basically they could have just walked in for free if they knew which theater they were in. As for the concessions I hadn't been at this amc in awhile but I was kinda irritated that I had to get butter for my own popcorn and fill up my own icy. It wasn't that way the last time I had went a number of years ago. So anyways we finally get seated into our seats and honestly I have no idea why amc hasn't adopted reclining seats yet like Coldwater has. The seats are not fun after sitting in them for a extended period of time, by the time our movie was done I couldn't wait to get out of that seat. The movie experience was fine for the most part but it needs to be said that if you need to go to a theater take some extra time and go to Coldwater for the recliners. All and all the only reason we went to this theater was cause my freind wanted to get a collectable dungeons and dragons popcorn tub which they were out of so a wasted trip all together. Its safe to say unless amc really changes things around or has some super exclusive movie their are showing thats not at other theaters I definitely won't be going there untill things are fixed. This is just my opinion on the matter tho and we did go to a 830 screening on Wednesday night so there might be more employees to actually see if people actually bought tickets on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMovie time was 12;15. Got about half way through the opening trailers and manager came in to say that the theater wouldn't play the movie and once the trailers were over, we should go next door to watch movie in other theater. We did. Well the other theater was still playing a movie so we stood outside of it for at least 20ish minutes before we could go in. Once inside, around 1, the movie started playing, but the sound was from commercials. Oh and the theater smelled like literal farts/poop, just horrible. I went to tell manager about the smell and movie. Nothing they could do about the smell so I propped the door open with trash can. Many others had left theater in search of manager also. They ended up asking for refunds and leaving. Movie finally started to play. Fast forward to about 30 or so minutes left in the movie, at a crucial part, of course, and the movie shuts off, lights come on, and commercials starts playing. Out to search for manager again. Movie starts to play again and gets almost to the very end and screen goes black, but you can still hear sound. We listen trying to grasp the ending of the movie, but couldn't tell when it ended and credits began because we couldn't see. At this time we were the only ones left. Everyone else gave up and left. Which I wanted to do also, but the person I was with talked me into staying. As we walked out of theater there was a staff member waiting to clean and came in and said wow, it's dark in here. I told her that the screen went dark and she said oh wow and handed each of us a free movie pass to come back. The whole place was very run down also. The whole experience was disappointing. We didn't leave the theater until almost 5 pm. Almost 5 hours, just to see a movie!! Insane. The person who sold us our snacks was great and very helpful. That was the only upside to...
