This review has taken me a bit to get to. It is probably the most important review I have ever left, or will ever leave.
This Best Buy is not only a great, no, amazing place to get the answers that you want/need, but to get the answers that YOU want/need. What I mean by this is that everybody on this team, and they really are a team, takes the time to find out your individual needs to ensure giving the right information or directing you to the right person or product.
They are ready to go with the general product knowledge, but also have a strong sense of who on their team specializes in an area specific to your needs. I also never feel that one person is trying to control the interaction. I feel that they are genuinely working as a team to find the right solution.
Now here comes the part that is going to be hard to get through without getting emotional...
This year has been a crazy year for me, medically. It started with a very rare eye condition and even more rare for someone my age.
The team got to know me and started to understand more of what my daily needs are. It was something that neither the team nor I were familiar with. Trying to find current technology to meet different needs than intended.
Every single one of the team members were so incredibly patient while we tried so many different products. A lot of times having to order special products that weren't carried in stores.
Shortly after this process began, it was found out that my eye condition is being caused by an even more rare brain disorder. That has now turned into tremors and muscle spasms.
But right away, this team started working with me on what the new solution should be. It again started a long process that every single person was so completely patient with along the way.
Not only was it about the product knowledge and the help, it was the fact that this wasn't customer service... This was employees that just care. It wasn't about a job. It was about taking what resources they have to better somebody else's life.
When you go into the store, it is apparent how different this team is not only from other Best Buys but from other still existing retailers.
Although they may not realize it, my medical team has given this Best Buy so much praise for the work they have done and the solutions that were put in place.
I am also not from here and pretty much only know my medical team on a more personal level. But this Best Buy has always made me feel comfortable to be there even when I am just browsing.
Being so far from home, being in this Best Buy makes me feel the closest to home. And I don't care how cheesy that sounds, but if everybody were as nice as them, I'd say the same about them.
It's not easy being comfortable enough to not only talk about but have to showcase a disability that is so fresh, but this team has been there from the beginning and have been there for me and do so without even realizing how important their work has been just for me to function at home on a daily basis.
Their solutions gave me the BEST thing that you can't BUY... The ability to care for myself while also knowing that I'm cared for by others that really care.
I 100% will never be able to express the gratitude I have for this team.
Please be patient with them during busy times. If you do need that extra care, try to go when it's slower and you know that they will have time. Talk to one of the employees that you are comfortable with and ask to set up a time that works to come in and explore your options.
They are all more than willing to help, but you have to view it like a doctor. You can't just walk in and expect a full checkup and diagnosis. Just talked to whoever and I'm certain you will have more than one person willing to set up a time with you.
Thank you! Every one of you that has been involved in this journey with me, and those that were behind the scenes that I may not have gotten to work with yet.
You guys have truly impacted my life in a way. I will never be able to thank...
Read moreHad to change my 5 star rating to a 1 star because of yesterday's shriekingly awful service at the service desk. 3 people before and after me also were treated very rudely and 1 guy tore up his best buy card in the line. "Return counter ginger troll" was mugging me through the entire conversation and told me I couldn't have the tv at the moment bc "only 1 back stock carrier is in the store and he is busy". After asking her if she really expected me to walk to the back of a store and small talk with some sales teen and then ask him to get the tv and bring it up to HER counter she said "let me just go get it for you rudely with that same damn ugly frown on her face. She pretty much set the tone for this entire experience as soon as she started talking to me like a child and treating me like im tryin to play her on a return when it was sealed im box and had a receipt. After their geek squad tech trade-in tester guy approved my Apple TV as functioning(when she told me he said it didnt work then i said i need to see it plugged in cuz it does work),it instantly worked this time and as soon as tech signed off and left she grabbed another ginger bearded tiny mouse of a man who called himself the "manager" and made up some dumb excuse NO WHERE in any policy website or receipt on why they could not take the trade in. I really wanted the tv I came there for so i still bought it cuz it was a great price but thats the last time Im ever going to Best Buy. Ive had a best buy card for over 14 years but its cut up and account will be cancelled tomorrow and im usually not the type of person to "write a letter"(white chicks movie reference) but after having worked retail like 16 years and half of that at an electronics store I can say that best buy has got down the toilet with their relaxed employee selection. Just because there's no commission doesnt mean they need to bypass basic humam decency ,respect and good customer service. The only way im ever going to best buy again is undercover to EXPOSE their ratchet disgrace-of-an-employee front desk...
Read moreI take back what I said about this store being the best expience I've ever had with electronics locally in Fort Wayne Indiana. The reason being is that I made two major purchases with my hard earned money and I had the worst customer service I've ever had with a huge electronics dealer. I made an online purchase on the MyBestBuy app and scheduled a pick up for that day which I have a local stor at the NorthCrest Shopping Center here in Fort Wayne so it's convenient for me to live near the biggest Best Buy we have. Anyway they told me while I was in the store that it would of been ready within the hour I was there to pick up yet I shopped around and buought another major buy while waiting for the order to be processed as promised and then to be told that I would get it in 4 hours by an store rep named Zoey who tried to take care of me. So I left for 4 hours then came back to be told that it will most definitely be ready tommarow which is today Tuesday December 8th, 2024. I hope things work out because to make matters worse the product I did buy was defective it was an OLED Monitor which wasn't cheap and to have had a burnt in image already in it from the D to USB-C slot. Things are chaotic and I'd like to be treated as if I matter and not lie to me several times within a day. Like I said I made that online purchase for store pick up from morning until dusk Monday December 7th,2024 at around 11:30am and nothing was fulled for that order nor even taken into consideration. I am quite frankly disappointed in this store and may not ever shop here again. The store and it's goods are great but the customer service and treatment are very poor and needs a revamped method to deal with such atrocious customer care and services by this best buy. I hope my Google and Yelp review helps whomever it may be fitting to this horrible customer care at this particular business. Thank you all for any post/commits to this review and or answers to what we can do as customers to stand up and guard our ground when it comes to such horrible...
