I had lunch at the Fort Wayne location today with a friend. To start with we were seated by one of the wait staff who didn't seem to know where she was going. She stopped at three different tables, before finally choosing a table which was the farthest from the entrance. As we tried to sit down, three other employees start to have a conversation and blocked us from being able to sit down. The waitress who was seating us said nothing and they still didn't move until my friend pushed through them. It turned out that one of these employees was to be our waiter and his lack of interest in being a waiter was painfully apparent. He seemed very displeased when we ordered from the regular menu instead of choosing the "Yummy Bowl" option. The food was pretty standard, although the eel cucumber sushi roll I ordered didn't have any eel. Our appetizer came after all the other food, although to be fair, it was being delivered by the same waitress who had seated us and it took her two rambling passes through the seating area to figure out where to bring it. All in all, definitely not worth the $35 tab, although the level of obliviousness and incompetence demonstrated by the wait staff bordered on being entertaining in a scary kind of way. I will definitely not...
Read moreI had not gone often to the former other stir fry restaurant in Fort Wayne, mostly because I didn’t feel it was a good value for my money. I somewhat reluctantly agreed to try Yummy Bowl, thinking it would be the same, but I was wrong. It was so much better, and so delicious! The selections of yummies was more abundant and more varied, having so many meats to choose from. They even had lamb! I would recommend not getting the beef if you don’t like it cooked well done, but everything else was so good it didn’t really matter. You get more for your money here too, the first ingredient of rice or other not taking up space in the bowl you build, but is added when your food is cooked on the circular grill, which was a cool sight. They did have noodles on the bar, which I added all topped with teriyaki, General Tso, and yummy sauce on my bowl, but I think it would have been just as good without the yummy sauce. I had enough leftover for a full meal the next day and enjoyed it just as much. I highly recommend this place even if you don’t like the idea of stir fry. The wide selection of food should satisfy even the pickiest eaters and the...
Read more😎👍🏾So Excited to have a Yummy Bowl in Fort Wayne! Atmosphere was pleasant, surrounded by Asian Art work and New EVERYTHING. Staff was helpful and habachi service was self-explainatory. If it is your first time, staff will direct you and give you instructions. Plus there are notices by the Habachi Grill when you make your 🍛 bowl. Great range of protein/meat/seafood selections like: 🐏lamb,🐄 beef, 🐔chicken, salmon, pollock, 🦑calamari (squid), 🦐shrimp, 🦀 crab meat, 🦪muscles, and tofu. Also had every vegetable imaginable! Just a quick hint though, make sure you select at least 3 sauces to put in a separate container with your bowl. As my son didn't read the sign and placed it directly in the food bowl (the sauce tends to burn on the habachi 👨🏻🍳 grill). We also ordered some ✨️FRESH Sushi✨️ which was 😋🤌🏾 devine! Was really surprised on how fresh, warm rice (freshly made) & delicious the SUSHI 🍣🥢 was!!!! Definitely recommend to fill your bowl up as much as you can with the meat, while being sparing with the 🍜noodles/rice🍚 & 🥕🥦🫑🍄🟫vegetables, so you have room for the meat. 🤗Happy Eating EVERYONE!!! ENJOY!! 🤩 Recommend...
