Read moreLast year was awesome. This year was horrible. Parking staff had no idea where people had to line up and directed us to a restricted area that we were forced to leave. Mind you this is in 100+ degree heat lugging our chairs, umbrellas, coolers (which were banned without telling us beforehand and had to take back to the car), etc. We were moved several times. The staff were arguing amongst themselves last minute as to which additional items to ban (after the gates were supposed to be open). They were debating on banning backpacks, large women's bags, limiting water to 1 unopened bottle per person, etc. After checking our bags and tagging them, we finally were let in. After 6+ hours of waiting the fireworks started. After 10 minutes of the 40 minute show they "paused" the show for about 30 min to put out the fires that started on the hills. By this time half the people had left. Then they said the show was canceled and go home. Even with so many people gone, getting out of the parking lot took hours. We didn't leave the lot until close to midnight. The fireworks were scheduled at 9:30pm. As one staffer told us, instead of getting better and smoother each year, it gets worse....
