Had my son’s 4th birthday party here and it was wonderful besides a small set back in plans. I put down a deposit on the place a month ago in June and when you do you receive an email with a copy of everything you’re allowed to do for your party including getting 30 minutes ahead for you and 1 other person to set up for the party. I had a few decorations and weeks of planning and knew that the 30 minutes I would get would be plenty to have everything ready for kiddos. We decided to arrive 10 minutes early and get ready for when we could go in and set up but when I went in I was told I wasn’t allowed in until my party time and that because my party was a weekday party I didn’t get to have that 30 minutes early it’s only for weekend party’s and that policy changed a few weeks ago but I had booked a party before that rule was even implemented which means they needed to abide by that rule since it was in my contract. Unfortunately they didn’t and I walked in to a building full of parents and kids and nothing was ready for us to begin setting up in 10 minutes. It was very disappointing and they offered to still let us in at 4 but I just felt that wasn’t fair that I would have to run around others to set up for my kids party when that’s not what I booked. Thankfully after a quick conversation with the Manager she allowed us to have an extra 30 minutes for free so instead of 6pm being the ending party time it was 6:30pm. We managed to set up in a clean building and friends/family had a blast and the party ended with everyone out th building with 5 minutes to spare. The girls who helped us were amazing and in no way do I blame them. But for future party bookers if you book on a weekday you no longer get an extra 30 minutes unless you pay for that...
Read moreEdit: We were able to give Play Street another try thanks to the owner reaching out and explaining how out of character our experience was, which I really appreciated! Our second time playing was so much better and I really believe a better representation of what you can expect! It was very clean, the employees were doing a great job keeping it tidied up as kids played, and my kids had so much fun-I was never worried about their safety or rowdy kids at all. Based on all the other positive reviews I think our first try was just an off day and we’ll definitely be back again!
We were gifted play passes for one of my kid’s birthdays and tried it out yesterday for the first time. Unfortunately it wasn’t a great experience and I’m not sure if it was just an off day or what you can typically expect. There were a lot of bigger school aged kids being extremely rowdy. Screaming, running all over, climbing on toys, wrestling, and throwing (hard) toys everywhere. I saw multiple kids knocked over by them or hit by stuff they were throwing and honestly no one was doing anything about it-parents or employees. My kids are 1 and 3.5 and the space feels more directed to kids their age, but I didn’t feel like they were safe at all and I had to stay right on top of them to stop them from getting run over. It really wasn’t enjoyable for any of us, which was disappointing because it really is such a fun place, and was very clean and well kept when we first arrived and we were so...
Read moreOverall, this place offered many cool things for my child to explore. There were different stations including sensory bins, magnet blocks and a "slime station." Unfortunately, I was surprised by how small it was. I admit that this might not normally have concerned me however, as we continue to navigate a world in pandemic, the size of the space felt dangerously small for the amount of people allowed inside, all without masks. None of the employees were wearing masks and there is no mask requirement for adults allowed into the space. I recognize that masks are not mandated by the state and up to the discretion of local businesses but in a place that I am sure seeks to cater to ALL children, not just those whose parents choose not to vaccinate, it is best practice to do what is possible to mitigate exposure to a vulnerable population right now. In the end I regretted going because although I was excited for my son to have a new place to explore, the risk of exposure is not worth it in my opinion. Note! they did have some activities setup outside the museum at kid height tables but its too hot to enjoy and also dangerously close to parking vehicles. I also noticed the employees periodically collecting toys to clean them which was a plus. I just think that the mask rule for adults is so simple, and also important for such a...
