I would not recommend this hotel on the basis of the poor breakfast selection that is available. I have stayed at this hotel for over 100 days this year and since checking in I have seen a steady decline in the quality of breakfast. When I first arrived, there was an abundance of fresh food and fruits. There were multiple yogurt selections and cheeses placed out each morning along side scrambled eggs, egg whites, spinach, and breakfast meats. After a few weeks some items would disappear and never return. Eventually, the breakfast became microwaved, pre-packaged croissants and biscuits that were incredibly soggy, lacked flavor, and were highly caloric. Every option placed out is covered in cheese. There is no fresh fruit (the bananas they put out look like they were picked 4 weeks early and are inedible), the DIY waffle machine was removed, and there are no signs designating what food is contained in each platter. This is concerning for anyone with food allergies or sensitivities. On some Sundays they will place out waffles that were pre-made and microwaved for guests as a treat. These waffles are dredged in frosting and only eaten by children. It is truly sad to see the amount of food waste from guests that are not satisfied with their greasy microwaved food each morning. I have discussed these feelings with management and have been told that it is a decision by corporate and they cannot change the food. I forgot to mention parking - there is none when the hotel is full and if you park in the plaza across the street (where the consierhe suggested on day 1) you will likely be towed. Congratulations on losing an ambassador...
Read moreI have stayed in many a hotels 2, 3, 4, 5 star......this is such a great find that I made sure to make time for a review. The staff are extremely professional and pleasant. Particularly, Victoria, who was kind and courteous to me despite it being a late check-in time.
The hotel is directly across from a few stores/food joints plus a nice walking trail/river that allows for a perfect atmosphere for decompressing after a long drive/workday is right by the riverside.
THE ROOMS/SUITES ARE IMMACULATE AND CLEAN. I felt very well taken care of and so very comfortable in the evenings after a longs day.
I do have a few complaints though....the fitness center was nearly impossible to workout in. It looked like they had a portable fan in place but it just wasn't enough. That definitely needs to be fixed and I'm sure it's in the works, but was definitely noted. Lastly, the 2nd entrance at the far side of the hotel was broken so guests seemed to keep the door propped open all day which leads to concerns for safety and security. Those at that end of the hotel were SOL if it did end up closed causing a hike all the way to the front so you could get to your room.
All in all, still a 10/10 JUST because the rooms are that well kept..I had a standard suite/room. If it weren't for the few negatives I would've been upset that I couldn't give more than 5 stars but it's still nearly...
Read moreWorst experience ever. Came back to the hotel and the room smelled like cigarette smoke with a strange overlying smell of candle. Checked with the front desk who admitted that a guest had smoked in the room and they had been airing it out for 3 WEEKS!!!! She then said they had to charge him extra. It is so bad and the odd deodorizer smell is almost as bad. I told her I would like another room as I paid for a non-smoking room and that the hotel was supposed to be non smoking. She said she had no more rooms and that she was sorry. I said, I can not stay in that room-the smell is sickening. I then said, I think I may need to find another hotel. To which which she responded, 'Well you do what you have to do.' Ummmmm seriously!! I am here for a moms weekend with my son. This is not okay. I am a bonvoy member. I am outraged and have now spent over 30 minutes trying to solve the situation. What was supposed to be a fun weekend with my son has turned into the...
