FIRST TIMER . So first the good things GREAT MUSIC FROM THE 60S plays throughout. I'm not from that eta just have an old soul. Next the chicken and waffles and greens. Well seasoned. Nice crunch. The chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes was decent but the green beans had a lot of strings in it. Will I be back YES but only to try brunch. I got there just after 2p so they had just stopped brunch. Keep reading if you want to know what i suggest you avoid. Spinach dip very average. Definitely does not seem to be from scratch. Their sign and employees wear tshirts that say scratch made. Not sure what they define as scratch made. Sorry but tasted like something they squeeze from a bag or scoop out of a container that gets shipped in. The kettle chips served with it definitely seem house made but im not feeling that with spinach dip. The Flatbread the served with it saved the day. The sweet tea was weak. No brewed flavor. The shrimp and grits I sent back. Wouldn't recommend. The grits were terribly bland. Oh em gee. They're supposed to be jalepeno cheese grits. No cheese in sight so i inquired. Waitress said they blend it in the grits during the cooking. I guess that's why there's no cheese flavor. I was warned not to order the meatloaf. Menu Description sounded good but i was warned ahead of time that it's bland. I got the peach cobbler for dessert with ice cream. This was a total let down. If any reading this are peach cobbler fanatics like me don't waste your money. Crust was so bland. No cinnamon sugar taste and overall the peach filing wasn't very sweet at all. Even the vanilla bean ice cream was bland. Sigh. Not much vanilla flavor at all. I even took a couple bites without the cobblee and yea the vanilla flavor was barely detectable odd.

I absolutely LOVE the Rim Waterside as a single woman, who enjoys a mellow but pleasant ambiance, excellent service and delicious food! I’ve come here a few times and each time I want to try something different but I don’t always catch it lol! My top meal is the fish and chips, I’m biased and haven’t tried many other main dishes bc THIS is so fresh and made just right!!! The fish is perfectly battered, their fries are amazing, the tarter is uniquely amazing and the portions are great! I’ll snap a pic next time lol! Today I tried the meatball appetizer - AMAZING!!!! The toast with it just puts it over the top! The crunch yet softness of those are just whew!!! I’ve tried the wings - if you like big wings these are for you! I prefer my wings small but taste and flavor were on POINT! I tried an Asian flavor!!! DELICIOUS!!! Everything is farm to table and I really enjoy it! The service in the bar is always amazing! I enjoy my little lady who served me today, she’s such a doll and I see her often enough she remembers my name lol! They have live music nights which I haven’t tried yet but I will! Definitely a nice safe place for Fort Worth’s finest to hang and eat good food!

Great Spot with Tasty Chicken and Waffles Stopped by The Rim for takeout and ordered the Chicken and Waffles. The restaurant has a cool pop culture and music vibe, with posters of musicians and old movies, plus guitars and even a motorcycle hanging from the ceiling. It wasn’t busy when we went in, and there seemed to be plenty of seating with options for a dining area, bar, and outdoor seating. The menu has tons of choices, though be prepared to spend around $30-50 per person if you’re getting drinks too. Our order took about 20 minutes, and even after a 10-minute drive home, the chicken and waffles were still hot. The chicken was crispy on all pieces with amazing flavor. The syrup was great, but we weren’t huge fans of the blueberry-infused butter. The carrot garnish was a nice touch visually, though it wasn’t really to our taste—some pieces were tough and got stuck in our teeth. The collard greens had a good smoky flavor, though some pieces were a bit large for my liking. Overall, this is a great spot with a fun atmosphere and tons of food options. Based on the delicious chicken and waffles, I’d bet the rest of the menu is just as good!

We made reservations more than 2 weeks in advance for a party of 8 so we could have an early Easter gathering. We showed up 15 minutes early and it was obvious they were trying to figure out where to sit us at first and I saw them discussing different options. The hostess asked if we were ok sitting outside, due to my elderly MIL being with us I said maybe and that we would try it. We walked outside to see a group of 20+ people sitting on the patio dancing, cussing( I am no angel but there is a time and place for everything), filming TikToks, when we sat down the wind was very strong and immediately let them know we would prefer a table inside. We waited 10-15 minutes and a manager of some sort says it will be just a moment and asks if we could split into two tables nowhere close to one another. This was not an option as my family is 5 including 3 kids and we were meeting my brother in law and his spouse, and MIL and the entire reason for coming was two spend time together. There was a large group of tables open and I asked if we could have those tables and she replied,” no, that is for another reservation. I then said we also have a reservation that was made weeks ago and I do not understand why a table was not ready for us. The manager said that it was ready and it was the outside table, which I told her was not accurate because I overheard the conversation where they were contemplating where to put us. She then says the original table they had for us they could not sit us at because we had children (15,11,9). I asked why and she stated it was near the bar which made no sense because there was another child in that section, so once again I told her I did not believe that was the case and just tell me they forgot about us. Mistakes happen but own up to them. She flat lied to my face and told me the only option was waiting an additional 40 min for a table when there was tables open. At that point my husband was very upset at the way we were treated and how I was being spoken to and we decided to go down the road to Clearfork and have a wonderful dinner at Masero with no wait and EXCELLENT service. Will definitely NEVER try The Rim again and do...

This was my second time here.

1st time my guy and I sat in the section by the bar, the lady from the bar greeted us and took our drink order and brought us our drinks. I'm thinking okay good service UH-UH the waitress said she would be back to take our food order 5, 10, 15 minutes pass she never came back to our booth, but she had time to laugh and giggle with the drunk guy at the bar. I finally asked for a manager which she came over and was super nice. The manager took our order, brought our food out to and consistently checked on us. She gets 5 stars. Chick at the bar 1.

Fast forwarding

I came back to give the Rim another try, this time with my friend because she had never been and wanted to try it out. We were greeted at the door, seated quickly, drink order taking and filled by a male waiter. My friend and I order our food, both orders were the chicken and waffle brunch. Food came out quickly, her order was fine, mines not quiet so. I had a piece of black hair laying on my chicken breast, when I told the waiter he said "you sure its not chicken hair?" DUDE the hair is black. He examined it, took it back to so call have it remade. The waiter brings the plate back says its all fresh I looked and why was it the same chicken breast, the cook had just thrown the chicken back in the grease. I looked at my plate carefully and there was that hair still there. I called the waiter over and said "Look its the same hair!!!" I pulled the hair off in front off him laid it on the plate , he says "oh! that is a hair." I politely said just take the plate, the male manager came over asked if I wanted something different I said "no I'll pay for the drink" usually when something like this happens the manager will say "Don't worry about the drink" oh! No he made me pay for that Dr. Pepper on ice.

Disappointed twice. It's a hard NO for when someone ask...
