Blaze Pizza is a family favorite that offers customizable wood fired pizzas with unlimited toppings…something that no one else in town is offering. We order the 11” build your own pizzas and choose as many toppings as we want for one price - $10.45. The dough is available in regular, Gluten Free Cauliflower (tastes just like the regular dough), Gluten Free Vegan, high rise dough and Gluten Free Keto crust. There are 5 sauces to choose from and I highly recommend the white sauce and Garlic Pesto combo - they’ll mix it for you. They offer 7 different types of cheeses including an option for Vegans. There are seven types of meat including Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, Applewood Bacon, Meatballs, grilled Chicken, smoked Ham and Vegan Chorizo. Their vegetable options are amazing and come in a variety of 14 offerings including Roasted Garlic cloves, Pineapple chunks and fresh Basil leaves to name a few. Don’t forget to finish your pizza off with a drizzle of Olive Oil, BBQ sauce, Pesto, Balsamic glaze, Frank’s Red hot sauce, Buttermilk Ranch or my favorite - Fresh Arugula. Ask for extra crispy crust and they’ll cook it a bit longer. You’ll get a delicious black wood fired ring around the outside of your pie (see pics). As tempting as it may be to overload your pizza with toppings, be mindful that wood fired crust is thinner than traditional pizza crust. If you decide you need ALL the toppings, you may need to fold it over and eat it Calzone style.
Pros: Each pizza is handmade “Subway sandwich style” as you walk down the line picking your favorites toppings and watching them custom build it. There is no one else in town offering the variety of sauces, cheeses, meats and toppings at this price point. The Blaze App has incredible offers and is well worth the download! Every year on pie day or 3-14, they offer $3.14 pizzas. The app also allows you to build pizzas for take out and earn rewards that can be used towards free pizzas, drinks, appetizers and desserts.
Cons: The employees are about as happy to build your pizza as the sandwich makers at Subway. It can be painful at times, but do NOT allow them to rush you or you might end up missing out on a wonderful topping!
Americans like to season their food and Salt and Pepper shakers should be available on every table. Unfortunately, Blaze only offers a pinch of Sea Salt on the assembly line that is not sufficient to season an entire pizza. There are Parmesan shakers and red chili flakes available, but they aren’t on the tables, either. If you ask for salt, they will usually put some finishing salt (much larger and flakier) in a small container but it’s different thank traditional salt. Nonetheless, food needs to be seasoned and it’s better than no...
Read moreVaries. I have visited this place 6 times in the last 2 weeks. Only ONCE did I receive good, clean service. ONCE. My last visit, the lethargic acting young lady that made my pizza used dirty gloves to make my pizza. (NOTE: you may want to tie a string onto the 🖊️ MARKER used to write names on the order paper) i have watched employees drop it on the ground two different times and continue to use it without cleaning it. Which wouldn't be as big a deal IF they didn't just continue on down the pizza production line touching food having just touched a dirty marker/pen that had just been on the floor. The girls sweatshirt had pizza sauce and other food remnants on it...and Im talking multiple days worth...not just from that day. The man working the register and the oven was really strange. He bounced the head of the pizza peel off the floor....which he continued to use on pizzas! He too was VERY lethargic, he was leaning over the pizza cooling/cutting station stretching and resting for over a minute, when I noticed my pizza was starting to burn. I asked hime to remove it, which he did, showing his annoyance in my interrupting his stretching session. When boxing my pizza, he took the paper with my name on it, put it in the box then placed his entire (non gloved) hand flat on the paper where my pizza was about to go. He boxed and cut my pizza while strangely staring at me. Needless to say after seeing my food being grossly mishandled I didn't eat it and Im out $10. I used to be in food service and I would be mortified if I were working in this type of situation. The owner/manager needs to make some BIG BIG changes in staffing. Its a serious shame because this is a popular place and is good food WHEN...
Read moreMy friend and I visited around 8:00 pm on a Thursday night and it was pure chaos. I've worked in the food service industry for years and I know when it's busy it can be chaotic and a little messy, but this was obviously not the case. The person taking the order was not wearing gloves but she was writing our order on the paper and lifting the dough to place it under. The person who started making our order was RUDE. We were standing right in front of her, but she continued to shout our name right in our face and obviously didn't want to be there. The manager and about 3 other employees came out of the back after the line built up to the door and we waited 20 minutes in line for someone to start our pizza. He swiped his hair off his forehead and pulled up his pants before putting gloves on WITHOUT washing his hands. After he had his gloves on he continued to mess with his hair and checked his phone. At that point another customer in line behind me came to the service line to confront the manager about his hygiene and left. There was food EVERYWHERE! The service line had ingredients mixed in with other ingredients. The cashier was really friendly and had great customer service. After, we ate in the patio area and we could see the manager and several employees going back and forth to their car even though there was still a long line. The pizza was good but I was praying that I didn't get sick from the...
