This is the best place in the area. The environment is safe and inviting, and I’d say it’s a real nice safe zone for kids. My wife feels very comfortable working out here and the staff is incredible. Some I’ve known for decades since I’ve been coming here since high school. The pools are great, lots of weight lifting equipment, tons of cardio machines and the gym provides a large space.
A big positive is that there was a HUGE problem with kids (and some adults) that would just sit on weight lifting equipment and scroll their phone for a very long time. There are so many cool indoor and outdoor areas with couches and tables that I think are underutilized for how awesome they are, where you can scroll your phone for hours if you want. It would probably be more comfortable than doing so on gym equipment. Now there’s signs and stickers on machines telling people not to do that and OH MY GOD WHAT AN AWESOME DIFFERENCE. I was literally leaving work early to get a workout in before the kids got out of school but now that’s been fixed.
Very small negatives- new soap dispensers and the new (tiny kids sized) towels in the locker room are terrible.
And the sauna is always trashed because the bros like to cover the sensor with wet paper towels, and not once have I seen any one of them take their trash with them.
Besides these couple of things, it’s small stuff you just deal with in a shared space. I’ve been a member of all gyms in this area and this is by far the best, and at the end of the day worth the money. Paying half the amount and dealing with the stuff you deal with at the other places is just not worth...

I have been a member for over 10 years. PJCC is a great place to go to for their community, gym and great art classes(watercolor). My fav- group pilates and the indoors gym(they also have an outdoor part and pickle-ball ). The outdoor pool is wonderful and never too crowded in the mornings. Facility is clean and well maintained. While there is much more to do when it comes to conservation and being more " eco-friendly" they definitely try to have compost and recycling bins in place, serving the cafeteria dishes in paper and compostable utensils, solar panels (very impressive). The PJCC also host diff musicians and bands (often on weekends) has interesting changing art displays. Offers lectures (many for free or very small fee) on diff topics from health to other actual events (not only but many about Judaism/the situation in the middle east, inclusiveness, mindfulness). Since I am a frequent visitor at the center I had the chance to meet and talk to many of the center staff. There is always something new, something...
Read moreI really love the gym. However, I have a few things that bother me. Some of the showers in the women's locker room smell when the water comes out the pool indoor is disgusting. The outdoor pool is never cleaned. I will sit out there and I never see a lifeguard test the pool add chlorine. They don't cover the pool at night so when you swim, you can see just stains and dirt all over the bottom of the pool. . Additionally, the lifeguards don't seem to pay attention to people actually swimming. They'll be kids in the lanes just kind of doing nothing hanging on the lanes. I just wish that it was a little more regulated and clean. The gym upstairs also has the same cleanliness issue people use the mats don't wipe them down the attendance don't really seem to care or pay attention. The floor is always dirty. If they cleaned it more than posted some rolls, especially in the locker rooms. I think it would be...
