Center for the Arts Evergreen — Attraction in Four Corners States

Center for the Arts Evergreen is now celebrating 50 years of operations (2025). The facility has expanded during my years in Colorado from a small cabin near the Buchanan Park Recreation Center to the repurposed church that is its current location. The Phase II expansion completed in June 2024 has greatly enlarged the facility with community spaces, classrooms, artist studios, an artist-in-residence program, and a state-of-the-art ceramics studio.

CAE sees its mission as a community hub, hosting ten annual art exhibits, a wide variety of children's and adult classes and workshops, summer camps, and mentorships. There is also a concert series, community rental spaces, arts festivals, an elegant gift shop showcasing local artists, and many community outreach initiatives.

Center for the Arts Evergreen is a vibrant and active place for the entire Evergreen community. You will find people of all ages from youngsters enjoying the thrill of taking their first art class to seniors exploring new books and developing their art talent. The enriching environment encompasses all the disciplines including visual and performing arts. There are outreach programs to serve all members of the community.
