Pho Evergreen — Restaurant in Four Corners States

Well.... I've either slipped into a parallel universe or I've accidentally been given something that is making me hallucinate. Whatever the case, I don't know how this place has so many great reviews. It could be some of the worst Asian food I've ever had... and don't you worry, the plot thickens.

When my family and I first saw this place, we looked at reviews. Multiple 5 stars, highly acclaimed-- so we thought, why not? Let's do take out. We got our order together and called, eager to try a new place.

And then they said 50 minutes for the wait. 5.0. You read that right. On a Monday night.

But we buckled up and were ready to wait-- the reviews were there and we figured maybe they were having staff problems-- trying to be considerate.

We get there... and were greeted by the strangest man I've ever spoken too. Perhaps he was an alien inhabiting another body and wasn't sure what the normal human social ques were. Regardless, I knew we were in for some fun.

So we waited. And waited. And waited. 60 minutes. For take out. Don't even get me started on the price-- but it was paid with the desperate belief that we were getting the finest cuisine in the county. And oh, were we wrong.

We got home, starved but eager, only to dig in and realize they had forgotten a whole order, the sizes were large enough to feed a 4 year old, and I'm pretty sure the egg roles I ate were incinerated before being served.

We would have called but frankly, every dish was so bad and flavorless that it wasn't even worth the call.

So, if you're looking for lackluster cuisine smothered in disappointment, look no further. My family and I will not...

Incredibly disappointed. Have been coming here since they opened and it HAD Been good, but two recent experiences have pushed me over the edge to leave this review:

We have a strict vegetarian in the family and always like their Vegetable Pho because they made vegetable broth for it. You can see what the menu says in the picture I’ve posted here. However, a couple months ago, we order a vegetable Pho to-go and they said they were out of the broth. Well, it would have been nice to know that at the time we ordered because now we have all the veggie fixings, but the beef broth.

Fast forward to a couple weeks ago and same scenario; ordered a Vegetable Pho and when I arrived to pick it up, I asked where the veggie broth was. He seemed VERY put out by this and even said, “You don’t want that. The beef broth is better”. I said, I DO want that because I have a vegetarian in the family. He went in the back for a few minutes and came back out with the veggie broth I requested. When I got it home, you know what he gave me? Chicken broth and made with chicken bouillon. I may not be a trained chef, but I know when I have been handed chicken soup with bouillon.

Naturally I called them to figure what the heck happened here and what did I get in response? Someone who went from speaking English to me on the phone to someone who pretended to not speak English the moment I asked for a manager….and then they hung up. Called back and the immediately asked to speak to the owner….and they hung up. So, you’ll lie to me about what food you’re giving me and then hang up the phone on me….twice.

Never again Pho...

I went to pho evergreen tonight with my family. We were greeted kindly at first. we ordered and the food started coming out slowly. my husbands food came out first and what we thought my was my daughters food was set in front of her. she began eating her chicken pho. we were still waiting. shortly after the two kids pho came out and we found out the bowl my daughter had been eating out of was actually in fact mine. I don't have any issues eating after my daughter but she chewed up a piece of chicken and had spit it back in the soup. not exactly what i wanted to eat. I asked if they could just replace the bowl as it was set in front of her and i'd like to not eat the chewed up chicken. They took the bowl and came back with another bowl very quickly. when I started getting into the bowl they had given me it still had the piece of chewed up chicken in the bowl so they basically just took the soup i had originally and put it in a new bowl. When I brought it up the manager she was extremely rude even though I showed her the chewed up piece of chicken I had pulled out of the second bowl. After they brought the new bowl I began eating and everything seemed fine however the waitress never came back to the table to even check on us or refill waters. We had to track someone down to pay our tab and when they had me pay the manager called someone on the phone and gave someone my card information instead of running my card in the restaurant.
