Victory Fitness Center — Attraction in Franklin Township

This child named Brittany who stands at the front desk is rude, disrespectful and because of such, this company is no longer worthy of my money. As a member since 2005 I was horrified by the treatment that I received today at the West club. The child behind the counter named Brittany was rude, in telling me that my original membership card was no longer valid, after being previously told that I would have to pay $10 for a new one. (That fee was discussed during a previous visit)

They requested a photo for the membership to which I declined, then she asked for photo I.D. which I promptly gave her.

She rudely told me that if I dont take a photo, then I could not work out there. I reminded her that Im certain the company would be displeased that a customer of 10 years would have to close her account due to being disrespected. I picked up my phone to make a call and she said 'Who are you calling? Theres no one to call. Im the owner' I said 'You own this club' She replied 'Im the owners daughter'. I said 'I dont care who you are, Im trying to make a phone call". And she kept asking WHO I was trying to reach as if it were her business to know that.

While attempting to reach the person responsible for the account, she continued to tell me that I needed to take a photo or I couldnt work out there, its their policy and I must abide by such all the time. Im telling her 'Ma'am Im on the phone and Im not speaking to you. Particularly since you arent listening' She refused to give me my original membership card back unless I complied took a photo.

Eventually she told one of the other workers to call the police. I guess being a mature adult and knowing when to shut the hell up was too much work for her insecure self to handle. I left and located the 'corporate office' number. There I was greeted by 'Bambi' whose initial response to me:

1)All members must have photo id 2)You should have taken your phone call outside

I said 'The call I was making concerning the account? I was supposed to go outside and then come back' She said 'Yes' I asked 'And thats all you have to say?' She actually said 'If you really had an account open for 10 years you would have had a photo by now' I was furious! This woman was not only unhelpful she even questioned that our account had been open that long. All she had to do was look into the records. Perhaps my canceled checks will convince her.

She said she would look into it. Since she was not there, she really cant say.

I normally do no use this club unless its along the route of something needed. I have not had any problems or concerns with the East Club or the North Club as they are generally respectful and friendly.

I will discuss this with the other person on the account and Im certain the consensus is that we close the account and shop elsewhere.

I have worked as a Group Fitness Instructor at Victory Fitness Center for one year now, and I really feel like not enough people know about this gym and all that it has to offer. It is a family owned business that has been helping to keep Columbus fit since 1989. This is a big gym; it’s much bigger inside than you may think from looking at it from the outside. It’s big. When you first come in, you’ll enter the open gym area; one side has all the “machinery” of fitness you could ask for (elliptical, stair climber, etc) and the other side is devoted to free weights, weight lifting, and everything related to weight training. There is also a room off to the side that contains all of the equipment, just not as much of it, as the open gym does but this area is for Ladies Only. So if you are a lady that perhaps prefers some privacy when she works out and who doesn’t want to do their hair and makeup to go to the gym, Victory thought of all that for you. And the equipment is all PINK! LADIES OF COLUMBUS: COME VISIT THIS GYM. The owners really kept the female gym members in mind when they built this facility. The women’s locker room is very large with lockers, changing stalls, regular bathroom facilities, showers, plus a sauna, plus a long vanity with mirrors above it where you can fix your makeup, blow dry your hair, etc. And it’s pretty. You enter the indoor pool / hot tub area from the locker room. The depth of the pool ranges from 3’-5’. I included pictures that show much more than I can explain. There are fitness classes taught in the pool, both mornings and evenings. Back and center of the gym is the Group Fitness room where the majority of classes are taught. All of the instructors are licensed/certified in the area of fitness they are teaching. They are all professional fitness instructors. Victory offers both morning and evening group fitness classes, including Bootcamp and Zumba! Victory also offers physical assessments, personal training sessions, healthy eating habit education, and so much more. I wanted to share my knowledge of this hidden gem so we can let Victory Fitness Center get all of us fit. The offer a Day Pass so you can come in and try out everything in the gym. Updated: Good Gym! Service desk: negative! Everyone wants to feel safe and welcome when they work out so i am very very happy my membership was cancelled after this review!

I scheduled an appointment for a private training session for a Sat, not last week Saturday with the male manager.

I had to travel.

Every statement out of his mouth after saying I'll reschedule later is.

I'm sorry you got it wrong! I'm sorry you want to change your private coach because you got it wrong. Good bye since you got it wrong.

The lack of empathy was disgusting.

Why he couldnt just say " its all good, lets reschedule. He continued to end every statement with 'You got it wrong'. So anger provoking. He had to keep stating that.

When I called him to cancel. He said he was going to cancel my membership and my parents membership even though theirs is paid by their insurance and mine with my own money, and they had absolutely NOTHING to do with this.

I said this has nothing to do with my parents but he said since both of us come here.He will be canceling both.

Yes. He probably has the right to cancel my parents' membership, but you can see how deep he is trying to win over a dumb issue as who was written or wrong on a schedule.

He literally told me that if I don't stop arguing because we clearly disagreed, he would cancel both my parents and mine.

Don't spend your hard end money where the management is disgusting.

Update: My membership has been canceled. Let's see if my parents' membership even though they were not involved.

Update 2: Today the Billy asked my father to stop using their gym.

If a business owner is this vengeful & wants to extend his evil to your family not related to the issue, DO NOT spend your money here.
