Staley Park — Attraction in Frederick

We met extended family here as a meeting point to let our kids play before exploring Frederick proper. This is a great little park. A fun fenced in playground with a big sandbox for younger children as well as a larger separate section of equipment for older kids. I really liked the triple twist slide and the three way super danger slide (the two outside slides are very steep and cut back aggressively, while the middle slide is a series of drops that will entrain kids of almost any ages!). Great park! Older jungle gym in the sun and younger jungle gym and sandboxes in the shade. The younger area is fenced in. There is a sign on the gate saying dogs allowed. Lots of open running space and shade. I would warn that the green slides on the older age jungle gym are dangerously steep for most ages, even older kids and the bathrooms were locked, so plan ahead with potty training.
